They actually re-arranged & re-recorded the selected songs. And, songs which had featured guest artists are re-recorded with only 100% Mamamoo vocals. Their more mature vocals are noticeable on this album compared to the original recording.
Now I have a playlist to listen to everyday without getting bored. I mean 23 songs? Who would get bored to it? Not to mention this album consist only of BOPS
Gogobebe Rock ver. feels like it was the original version... we've been calling for the release of it ever since it was performed at the MGMA.. I agree, most of the remakes feel like improving on the intended vibe of the song.. they all sound just a more fresh and profound versions of the originals.. improved production and instrumentation used.. eliminating a lot of the issues I had with the a bid technical stuff when listening to some of them.. Never thought I'd be that hyped for an album of mostly remakes and remastered versions.. but I suppose anything is to be expected when it comes to MMM..

old heavy metal? What? Gogobebe rock version is not heavy metal lol, not even close, it's just simple classic rock inspired I'd say, though it has some sounds of metal as well. Old heavy metal is bands like Metallica, Black Sabbath and Judas Priest. Been waiting since 2019 when they performed it live to get on spotify!

That's true! To be honest, I usually don't prefer that song. Don't get me wrong, they made it great for the original version, it's just not my type of music. But the remake is a real surprise to me and I keep listening to it now!
So here's a thought. You know how SM had an actual orchestra perform Red Velvet's Happiness, maybe if RBW could do the same with these versions of Paint Me and Starry Night? It may just be me, but they feel almost overwhelming when I listen to them from a speaker or through headphones. I would love to hear those live. And Gogobebe(Rock ver.) is just superior in every way. Hehehaheho was on their very first album Hello, so no you haven't checked that one out yet. The original does have a feature just so you know. I can't wait for you to listen to the rest, it really is a trip down memory lane on steroids xD
They actually performed the orchestra version songs with live band + live orchestra on their Aug 28 online concert. Also, they premiered the live performance of the title track 'mumumumuch' on the online concert.
