Allan Rayman is a man of few words. He prefers to let his music do the talking for him. So when we brought him into CBC Toronto's Studio 211 we weren't altogether sure what we were going to get. But we were as enchanted as Rayman was engaging. For a little over an hour this man of mystery sat front and centre in the studio and offered up an exclusive acoustic performance - something he had never done before - including songs from his new record, Roadhouse 01.

Wow...really listened to the lyrics for the first time today...& damn dude, song's fuckin heavy, even disturbing, but I like it! Lol.
Also, to me, when AR performs acoustically, his voice, cadence, style, etc. totally gives off some Kurt Cobain-like vibes...& I dig it.

he's amazing but no Cobain!
it was. That's why it triggers him in your memory. The atmosphere, candles, lilles, it's the exact same as his Unplugged in New York album. He even says things similar to what Cobain says during the performance. It actually bugs me, but I still like this guy. Its raw, catchy and passionate. Can't duplicate passion.

"Disgustingly Incorrect" Lol... Curt Cobain had "one" consistent tone within his vocals, Allan Rayman has a much broader rang in his singing ability; far more in variety so..... his talent is beyond Cobain's.
