  • Hey there everyone!
The wonderful Craig Dabler was kind enough to send me some of his Red Clay to try. If you have watched any of my videos you would know I exclusively use Delft Clay.
In this video I use Craig's Red Clay for the first time and I explain the differences I notice between the Delft and Red as I work.
Craig Dabler is the DIY casting guy on youtube, go check out his very informative videos.
He also makes and sells pretty much anything and everything to do with sand casting. Like this Red Clay I am reviewing.

Nice video … well done…. Have always wondered what Delft clay alternatives are like … so now I know…. Shame I’m in the UK and not the US….
I wish I had a share of your confidence when making videos …. you come across very self assured and experienced in what you do….. nick

Thank you so much for saying so :) I am in Australia, so postage from the US is a bit pricey. But I think its worth it when you know the person who made it :)

In Australia …. Nice ….. my favourite TV programme is “Ozzy gold hunters” The thought of being able to go out into the wild …. Find a big nugget to play with and cast into something special. … in reality … probably just a nice dream to have. .. thanks for sharing your expertise… nick

A good guide is 7.5 and harder on the hardness scale. But really it comes down to experimenting :)
