The BRDM-2
(Boyevaya Razvedyvatelnaya Dozornaya Mashina, Боевая Разведывательная Дозорная Машина, literally "Combat Reconnaissance/Patrol Vehicle") is an amphibious armoured scout car designed and developed in the Soviet Union. It was also known under the designations BTR-40PB, BTR-40P-2 and GAZ 41-08. This vehicle, like many other Soviet designs, has been exported extensively and is in use in at least 38 countries. It was intended to replace the older BRDM-1, and has improved amphibious capabilities and better armament compared to its predecessor.

Feine Sache. Mit dem BRDM gleich noch einen nachgesetzt. Ein sehr gut gelungenes Modell, schön detailliert,
so daß nach dem Anstrich und der Alterung ein prima Modell herausgekommen ist! In der Tat ein guter Funbuild.

Hi Steve ... thanks my friend ... this kit and build was fun ... didn't jump into detailing but painting this quick build was fun and the fist time i tried to do splatters and dust by gouache colors ... it is a bit tricky but out of harmful thinners 😊👍 a big hug and happy modelling, cheers Markus

Dein fertiger BRDM- 2 sieht richtig überzeugend aus…die Alterung/Verschmutzung ist stimmig💪
Schauen wir mal, was die anderen Teilnehmer so gezaubert haben.

Thanks mate 😊👍 it is done with gouache colors ... all water based ... a bit tricky because it is easy washed away but i treated it with a big brush and a sponge 👍 a big hug, cheers Markus

Hi Markus. Looks picture perfect to me. I love the worn out weathered grungy look of the vehicle and its overall appearance is great. Actually I wonder if it doesn’t look more teal than the original photos at the start of the video.

Respekt, auch den zweiten Beitrag hast du termingerecht vollendet! Auch der BRDM sieht klasse aus, schöne Matschspritzer vor allem :) Damit brauchst du dich absolut nicht verstecken, wann gehst du also mit diesem und deinen anderen Modellen mal auf eine Ausstellung? :D Es wäre eine Bereicherung mal ein paar neue Aussteller dabei zu haben, täte dem Hobby gut.

Hallo Michael, vielen Dank für dein Lob ... ich hatte viel Spaß mit diesem einfachen Bausatz ... und wie man erkennen kann war die Detaillierung für mich nicht im Focus ... ich wollte die Alterung mit Gouache Farbe ausprobieren ... hatte ich ja schon mal bei der Curtiss P40 verwendet ... jetzt habe ich es zusätzlich mit einem Schwamm versucht ... ist sehr schnell abgewaschen aber hat Potential und keine giftigen Dämpfe wie die Enamel Farben mit den es definitiv besser geht.
