1964 Buick Riviera at Ellingson Motorcars in Rogers, MN

This 1964 Buick Riviera was, and continues to be, a muscle car for the most esteemed gentlemen. 1964's Riviera was left mostly unchanged from the '63 model, except for some slight changes to the hood ornament and the "Riviera" script trim. This particular Buick Riv is powered by the optional upgraded 425 Cubic Inch Super Wildcat V8 Engine with dual 4 barrel carburetors, which is believed to be numbers matching. In its time, this Riviera was specced at 360 horsepower. This classic Buick is easy for anybody to drive with a Super Turbine 400 Automatic Transmission, which was standard on the '64 Riviera. As with all 1964 Rivieras, this particular example features a number of desirable drivability options including Power Steering and Power Brakes, both of which were standard equipment back in 1964. Dual exhaust gives this classic Riviera a throaty, muscle car sound. The exterior on this 64 Buick Riviera is finished in Black, which gives this car a unique and elevated look. This Riviera sits on 4 whitewall radial tires with full wire hubcaps, giving this Buick a classic look. The interior of this Riviera is finished with Black Vinyl Bucket seats with a center console along with the famous woodgrain accents throughout the car. Besides the upgraded stereo, the dash, steering wheel, and instrumentation appear to be in their stock configuration. The interior also features a number of desirable options including a factory tilt steering wheel and the speed minder alert.

This is hardly loaded with options! So odd it would have been ordered with the 360 HP 2 4bbl engine and nothing else! No power windows and no factory air conditioning! These are expected options on a car of this status!

You might want to at least quickly glance at a ‘64 Riviera brochure before you do another clip on one. That car is almost devoid of any options. It doesn’t even have A/C and if it is really a Super Wildcat it would have aluminum valve covers. The only options on the car is a Deluxe interior and the Accessory wire wheel covers. The dash wood has been replaced with incorrect veneer. Good luck with that.

You are correct yet the presenter raved on about all of the many options! It’s actually a stripper! A shame on a car of this caliber!
