I like it how Jonathan is preaching the Gospel, not just simply giving an interview. I can see he is trying to word his statements in a way to make them understandable to others. It seems like he knows he needs to say a certain thing, like somebody might need to hear that. He really gave his life to Jesus, fully. He's not just an actor being interviewed, he is an apostle for Christ.
Well done, Jonathan! You know you have things to be grateful for and that you have a job to do for Him!

Key word: "surrender." It is not what we do for God that matters. It is what He does in and through us that makes all the difference.
I gotta screen shot and save this comment. You hit the nail in the head. That's what is al about.
You guys are so on point. Surrender gives God room to move. And for the hardships and sufferings that you go through they make you so much stronger and wiser in the end. If God didn't allow me to get off track, want the wrong things, and people that weren't meant for me I would be lost when He does send me someone. The point is Him. He wants us first then all things will be added and He knows by that time we will give Him all the glory!

This was amazingly powerful. I watched the entire thing and it’s so interesting because after hearing Jonathan‘s story about surrender, I realized that I prayed for a child for 15 years and I actually did exactly what Jonathan did. I finally surrendered and God gave me my beautiful son who I adopted as a newborn, even though the world told me I would never get a newborn baby. God had other plans and it is when you surrender, that moves God

It's crazy cause I had a similar experience when I was 10 after watching the movie "Jesus of Nazareth" I ran to my room closed the door took my crucifix painted Jesus with red paint for blood, feeling it wasn't done realistically enough, while crying feeling sorrow for my sin's like Mary Magdalene I took my tears washed Jesus'feet on the crucifix and wiped them with my hair. It was one of my first spiritual encounters with Jesus and His Mercy for me personally.

Your honesty and willingness to give of yourself was so open, you have moved me to want to be a better person. What a fantastic interview with Brian and Jonathan. Blessings to Brian's ministry One Voice Student Missions and the good works he is doing. How open Jonathan has been about his life and calling to serve God. When an actor speaks out about his Christian faith, Hollywood doesn't really like that. Jonathan knows what this could mean to his career. Look what happened to Jim Caviezel's career. His star was rising in Hollywood until he did The Passion of the Christ and made his faith known. Whatever God has in store for Jonathan, he is not afraid to answer the call. We look forward to praying with him and moving forward in The Chosen for Season Two.

God is Love. If someone is hurt or traumatized, loving others comes from accepting the love God has for them and he walks us step by step to healing and loving others and forgiving. TRUST in the relationship Jesus wants to develop with you and then bringing the healing and forgiveness. Gid bless you all. God Loves You.

I love Johnathon's testimony of surrender. At a Christian conference 10 years ago,everyone rose to sing. I couldn't move. My friend asked if I was ok. I could only nod. God said to me you sing of surrender do you mean it? It was out of the blue but my heart said yes . Life hasn't got easier, but I don't worry. I know whatever happens God will catch me.

He has caught you already. Have you read the Bible? Do.
Start walking. If you don't know what to do, join a group of believers in a church where God is real and loves you. You may have to hunt. Ask God to lead you. (God had my car break down. While it was being worked on, I walked around and found a church open. I went in the foyer and looked through their brochures. I noted a Bible study and wrote out the details of time and place. I showed up for it's last meeting (which was a prayer meeting) and prayed as God led me (which was to thank Him for completely healing a girl from blindness. A doctor asked for prayer as they had no idea why she had lost her sight.) She was completely healed over time. There were so many prayer requests and prayers that there was little time for a Bible study. The next week, a new person was in charge and we were asked to read Leviticus, the book of the Jewish Laws. I saw the laws that protected the Jews from diseases that nobody understood. They killed vermin so avoided the diseases they carried, they washed their hands before meals so didn't contaminate their food, they washed their feet when they entered their homes so they didn't track germs into their homes. They cleaned their homes completely in Spring and Fall. We called it Spring/Fall cleaning and did the same growing up. Their holidays kept them remembering how God had taken care of them in their past and that they should trust Him today. Smart! Trust and obey! I loved studying Leviticus. (None of the nations at that time followed any of these guidelines. Oh, and the food they were not allowed to eat were all disease carriers!) God protected them from all the diseases of the Egyptians that were so common at that time as food was not baked but cooked (and often undercooked) over an open flame.
At that first meeting, I was invited to attend church by an attendee and agreed. That led me to a wonderful church that was on fire for God. And the Bible Study opened the opportunity to train with Child Evangelism Fellowship, which I did and was chosen to be a leader and led a 5 Day Club that summer before we moved back to the USA where I got a job and started reading good Christian books. I learned so much! My husband came to the Lord by reading my Christian books on how to be a Godly wife! He was checking up on me! Over the next 40 years, Gary got a Doctorate of Theology, we helped start up churches in the Pacific and Africa and adopted 4 children in the Pacific. Thtree of our children went to Universities and our special needs daughter got a great job and has celebrated 20 years of service despite being autistic and low IQ. She owns her home and takes care of me in my old age. She has a sweet spirit and everyone loves her. I wouldn't change a thing about my life. NO, it hasn't always been easy, but God has blessed me.
I trust Him. You can, too.
Jonathan Roumie even when you miss it. If you doing your best in faith and put everything in Christ hands. Christ will work all things for good. Is a promise found in the Bible. Also take your talents, time and money and use it all for Christ Glory. God Bless us with money, talent, time to be use for his Glory. God let testing happen because also is how we grow and prepared for the next chapter in our life. Then Jesus entrust us with greater blessing so we can be a blessing for others regardless of denomination. God Bless you both of my brothers!

This was so good, it was no accident that I happened to come across it. God has put it in my heart that I need to repent and fully surrender to Him. Also, through Phil Robertson, and the Robertson family I have learned some very important life lessons: Love God. Love your neighbor. Now it's time to surrender everything, I thought I had, but I didn't surrender my love of money, now I'm ready. Thank you both for this video. Amen, I'm so humbled and privileged to live to see what God is doing in our planet right now through men and women of God just like these 2 men. I am encouraged in this interview on a day of my own personal repentance. Jesus is lifting my head in the midst of brokenness and God spoke so strongly in this interview to me. It was a God appointment.

That has been on my heart alot lately...I know alot of ministries go to other countries but who needs help here? Right where the Lord has us there is a need. There is always a need. We don't have to change jobs or switch houses or move across country or oceans to make an impact in someone's life. We have the opportunity to witness to those who are in our vicinity. Someone we pass by every morning could be the one God has positioned us to help. Come on brothers Amen!
Thank you for such a great interview! It’s encouraging to know Jonathan’s journey of faith and the things God has and is revealing to him. Humility, love and forgiveness is paramount in all our lives and I am trusting the Lord to lead me into deeper levels of this. My heart longs to reach people around me with God’s love and as I do this, Jonathan’s example and sharing, encourages me. Bless the Lord!
Regarding your question to Jonathan about whether he ever has doubts, I ended up losing my faith in my early 20s, because although I knew what Christianity taught, I didn’t know how to defend it against secular arguments. I studied science at university and came to think the scientific method was the only way to determine truth. It’s only when I started reading apologetics that I realized there were good rationale reasons to believe in God, and in Jesus Christ as the Son of God. We need a firmer foundation in apologetics. The books I found helpful were : “God : the Evidence” by Patrick Glynn, “Answering the New Atheism” by Scott Hahn and Benjamin Wiker, “The Case for Christ” by Lee Strobel, “The Real Jesus : the Misguided Quest for the Historical Jesus and the Truth of the Traditional Gospels” by Luke Timothy Johnson, “Hidden Gospels: how the Search for Jesus Lost It’s Way”, “Fabricating Jesus: how Modern Scholars Distort the Gospels” by Craig A. Evans, and “What Have They Done With Jesus?” By Ben Witherington. Glynn’s book covers among other things, the evidence from out of body experiences associated with Near Death Experiences where people perceive events they couldn’t possibly know about and which are verified by witnesses. That lead me to believe scientific materialism (I.e. atheism, the belief there is no soul) couldn’t possibly be true. Atheists make a ton of a priori assumptions and although they can sound confident, arrogant and mocking, the fact is the scientific method has not proven the non-existence of God and never can.
