That is one thing that I kinda don't understand about destiel fans. I am not against people shipping it because I will read a fic every once in a while but I don't understand why people think it's cannon. Dean is a fictional character, which means his decisions and sexual orientation are based on the actors and writers. If Jensen doesn't think there's anything going on, then there's nothing going on. Oh my god. I think everyone just went "oooooooooooooooh no" with the girls question. Does she not know the universal law to NOT ask J2 this question? More specifically, not to ask JENSEN THIS QUESTION? Could you not see his entire body language switch from "aww cute little kids question, bye sweetie" to "what.. why? why would you bring that up?"
It irked me when that girl asked about 'Dean/Cas', and it's obvious that both our boys knew what she's getting at. You can see Jensen get slightly annoyed and then swing the question in a way he could answer. It was irked because, if you're at an SPNCon, then you've probably watched every video of every Con prior, and would know how they respond to certain questions. Overly personal questions make them uncomfortable as do questions regarding 'Wincest' and 'Destiel', so why waste the opportunity?
Is it wrong that I'd happily make a deal with a crossroads demon in exchange for 10-years of marriage to Jensen??? Somebody get Crowley on the phone NOW!!
They're not oblivious, not in the least. They're grown men with internet connections and a deep knowledge of their fanbase. Jensen probably just hates getting asked that question, because (as he has said COUNTLESS times) that's not how he sees Dean and Cas' relationship. Don't get me wrong, I love a good Destiel fic, but according to the writers and the actors portraying said characters, it's not canon. I really wish people would stop asking this question at cons, it makes them so uncomfortable.
When Jensen starts talking about the Impala you can hear his Texas twang. It's very slight, I may just be picking up on it b/c I'm from Texas though lol.
He's always so gracious about it, too, which irks me even more that these weirdos keep asking about it. Misha is a little bit more receptive to it, he pokes fun at it and tries to put everyone at ease but the questions are still cringe worthy. To be honest I think the shippers put a lot of people off of watching the show, which sucks because it's a great show. They just associate SPN with batshit crazy slash fic fans and that isn't the case. Not all of us are like that.
And 7 years on from your comment, it most certainly is true that the Destiel conspiracy pushed out Supernatural fans (esp online) exactly the same way Trump supporters conspiracies are beginning to destroy the GOP. Jensen always graciously took the middle line trying to keep the fanbase together whereas Misha took the Donald view and benefitted from Destiel in many ways. I don't associate with the fanbase generally because the fringe became the mainstream as the viewership dropped.
Dean has a stronger bond/friendship with Castiel then Sam because he raised him from the ground And then Castiel knowingly used him & Sam to start the apocalypse. You can read what you want into Dean & Castiels relationship But it will never be what Sam & Dean have between them, they are blood brothers & two halves of the same soul, And I disagree on Sam not seeing as you put it the deeper sense of it all. Sam was in a cage in the 9th level of Hell being tortured by Lucifer for 180 years.

The story of life in both the worlds are yet being said, in the best way it could be, guess there are more to come, to make us think, sense, argue... comprehend,believe in our beliefs...it is SUPERNATURAL. it cant go without making us wonder,think and feel. Well this is my view on take.

They had a nice relationship up until the end of Season 6.I have seen more people thent I can count perplexed at what jared said. It goes against everything we have seen and hard onscreen
Dean&Sam are in flesh, their bonds are diffreent, but they are continouly unconsciously seeking the void in their souls, with their given past& present life. Cass isnt human, as such,his relationship is different with Dean, as Dean had been to hell, he saw-knew, the choices,of every pros&cons, outcome of fighting every emotions, good &evil, just for the sake of others'goodness. But Sam, knowing the generality of lifes spirituality and morality, doesnt yet share the deeper sense of it all.,
