Trophy lakes will always garner plenty of attention and we are funded by the group that stocks these lakes for EVERYONES enjoyment, not just a select few. 👍👌👌
Just an awesome episode guys, thank-you so much for sharing! Philips is one of my go to gems in my backyard. Had some days of 25+ fish and been skunked there on occasion to keep me humble and coming back for more hehe. Cheers Don, Dale, and Brian, thanks for all that you do!
Thanks for sharing that new pattern guys. In future shows can you reference the water temp while you are fishing ? I think this October I set a new low 🥶, 39 degrees F. My feet were getting numb in float tube with hand warmers in my waders🤣. Then the ice came 😭. Bueaty of a day with good friends. Happy New Year 2022
Surprised to see the use of the tailng glove on these fish. I was of the understanding that it is damaging to the protective slime coating and could result in the death of the fish.
All depends on how much movement you want to the fly based on the conditions and how the fish are feeding. I tend to use a loop knot to get more action on the fly when conditions are windy and fish are aggressively feeding. Tighter clinch knot when things are calm with finicky fish that don’t want too much movement of the fly.
Thanks and here's to a Healthy and Strong 2022. Sure hope you'll do some stillwater sessions this year where you're doing something other than fishing with indicators.
Just what this lake needs, more attention!

Thanks and yes, most Trophy lakes are humbling but can be rewarding, so always worth the effort. Happy New Year!

These light, cloth free gloves are fine. You just don’t want to use heavy cloth gloves when handling fish, which could remove their protective slime.
It seemed you did not use loop knot. what makes you decide to use one knot or another?

Many future lakes shows will feature non indicator fishing 😊👌
