Just start carrying a book around with you in the same way you carry your cell phone. Having a "reading chair" or just somewhere that’s set up for a specific task is always a plus. Like I have a specific table for painting. I’ve been thinking about putting on ambient music in the background. These are some great tips sir!
I love the “carrying a book around” idea! I have been doing that on this cruise and it’s been wonderful! So glad these tips are helpful my friend, and thanks for your fantastic addition!
Awesome tips Nikhil! I have my favorite sofa where I read. Varying the genres is difficult when you have a horror channel. I am starting to change thins up, but your audience still wants horror content. I am getting in the habit of reading both a novel and short story collection at the same time, really helps. Love buddy reads! I go a "Pile Of Possibilities" myself. Sorry, any noise is distracting. Agreed with the final point, nothing like a death in the family and serious legal troubles to mess up your reading.
I’m so sorry about your father in law and the legal troubles 😥😥 I hope you and Anita are holding up ok, and please know we are here for support always! I LOVE your pile of possibilities idea! It keeps things open whilst still keeping TBR’s around, kind of best of both worlds! Haha I hear you on the music, I can only listen to very specific kinds (ambient especially), as anything else is too distracting, especially with lyrics
Thanks Vanessa! I love this, and have been using it during my cruise - game changer! I bring a book when driving somewhere in case I’m early too haha 😆
A great video, as always, Nikhil. While I agree with all your pointers, I would also like to mention the one thing that works better for me, which is - I have a dedicated time for my reading. If the clock strikes 10 pm, my mind craves for a book. This is because I have been doing it for more than a decade now.
Thanks so much man! Great idea of reading at the same time as well! I really should try that, as sometimes I start at 7pm but am very distracted, and probably read in 3 hours what I could read and enjoy in 1!

These are great recommendations Nikhil!
Thanks so much Chas! 😊 with ever growing TBR’s and life getting in the way, every little bit helps hah!

Great tips. My tip would be to carry a book with you everywhere, you never know where you can get an extra few minutes in.
