I'd go for that, but I also have a guild airship that represents a good investment in the game. If I could have what I have now on a new server, I'd be great with it.
Lanterns were 750, 1500, 1500, 1500, and 2000 durability. The Mist Stalkers were spawning roughly every 10 minutes (the range I experienced was 2 minutes to 55 minutes). On reaper they were giving 6 each for the low difficulty, 11 for medium, and 50 for the hardest spawn. There is a special NPC spawn that shows up sometimes after medium difficulty spawns (and always shows up after hardest) gave 6 for interacting with it. With the change to cosmetic slot it could have been interesting to have each lantern take up a specific cosmetic slot so that you can equip all 5 at once, having it only fill 1 random at a time, but the spawn rate increase based on how many you have equipped. Risk -> Reward
@@AxelAlexK for me the The Mist Stalkers were spawning roughly after 5+ min, in some quest i had to wait some few min. Did not see any Mist Stalkers in public Area
One way to cheese the hardcore aspect, is non-hardcore players can act without worrying about dying, and that can be used to have them take greater risk and such and even get in between the hardcore player and the mistwalkers.
Rebuilding a guild ship is painful. BUT rebuilding a multi-year character is a dealbreaker for me. Also, I have to wonder aloud here but... What about the people who have bought the game pack by pack, race by race, class by class but do NOT pay the monthly sub? Some players have spent WAY too much money on this game, despite not paying a monthly sub. Not being able to participate in the HC stuff because I'm not paying their monthly, despite having bought all the DLCs that this game releases. It feels bad. It feels REEEEEEALY bad man... 😠
It’s literally splitting up my gaming group as we have a couple beta players who are non-VIP who have bought everything over the decades. Starting the new server as VIP exclusive has been problematic for us.
I'll strongly second this for the refusal to give up on a multi-year, multi-life character. I'm currently 135 lives into the march toward being a racial, heroic, epic and iconic completionist. It has been my goal the entire time I have played DDO. I've been a VIP the entire time as well as the rest of my play group and guild (full amenities ship and level 180). If I can't move my character over to the new server, I'm not going to treat it as anything but an event server, similar to the old hardcore server instances. I would certainly hope that in the future there would be open transfers or maybe other 64 bit servers available to migrate new characters to. It's not cool at all to ask players to give up that much time and effort invested into their characters.
On the subject of Raid bosses... I'd love to see a Raid boss be a Raid group. 12 very different class/race bosses running around amongst the party doing their various class attacks... 😆
(I still thing they should have used the quiver slot. Its the least filled/used slot for the most number of players, and can be give things like deathblock ect.)
They really can't because it is vital for ranged builds even if most builds ignore that gear slot. If technically possible a pick your own slot would have been cool. Or better yet, would've been nice if they could have created a new slot just for lanterns. Though I would guess the latter is technically unfeasible.
You guys got me thinking. Normally I do VIP for the hardcore season but I have no desire to do it for this Lantern thing. I wonder if they will see a fall off of revenue.
re- breaking the phylactery, the toon with it, should not shield block with it. Less than 1 minute each time from my experience, that is counting the 50 seconds of lag too :)
I was thinking this crossbow adjustments, and just thought that why they just don't change dual shooting to give +100% doubleshot instead of dual shots and repeaters scaling at the same rate? Remove the penalties ofcourse like they are now doing too. Reloading, some feats and other similar things should be calculated and adjusted tho. I wouldn't mind much how the thing is calculated, I want to play my inquisitives etc without getting massive dry-firing and lag spikes.
hardcore only player here, I do it because the normal servers are unapproachable for a new/returning player. On a hardcore server people dont rush through dungeons in the same way they do on normals with their 50+ life characters. On hardcore I can level up a few times without people playing like maniacs, and there's a huge pool of people to group with, versus the relatively dead live servers.
I have been a VIP since Beta....I will quit playing if i have to start over. I have THOUSANDS of hours and dollars invested, to try to rebuild that on another server is a nightmare. The idea is great, but i want my stuff, my guild, and My Founder Helm!
This is like a trial, they are working on making sure items transfer with your characters, monster manuals, etc. before they open for transfers. Eventually they are going to allow transfers when mounts and some other items that aren’t transferring are fixed and they want to be able to transfer guilds also
@@blainowells5063 yeah so you will be able to fully transfer your character after the lanterns event concludes-it’s going to be a persistent server. They are working on full gear transfers and guild transfers so no one loses anything. The catch for now is that due to the lanterns event they will initially only allow fresh builds so everyone starts just like in HC. It’s also VIP only for this lanterns event. After that, transfers will happen first for VIPs then for everyone else. This is how I understand the sequence of events so far.
I wonder if you hear anything from the devs rewarding the rare items drops in quests, every time I ask them they only talk about the slayer rare items and weapons, but this "rare" item mechanic is killing this good expansion
Too bad the new server was shut down for the first 24hrs (maybe more) due to so much LAG no one could even move their characters.... very sad :((((( I was so hyped :(((
It's actually being released as a permanent server starting this Wednesday. It is a test in some aspects though for sure, such as only allowing VIP to limit server load and such.
Sorry for my misunderstood comment. My take on 2 Fridays at 4 videos was that. They need to sort a few problems before they can do transfers. Monster manual, guild stuff, and some others. Too me this is the new hard-core but open forever? I don't expect many long term players to just simply start over again. They even mentioned a server in Europe. I do hope after 6 months or so all turns out great.
@@aaroncov there will be full transfers after the initial Lanterns event concludes. Yes, this will be the new persistent server and likely there will be one other 64bit to house all the players from the old servers. VIPs will be the first to be offered the ability to transfer over then it will open up to everyone else.
The VIP only thing is so dumb. I get VIP strictly for the hardcore league events every season so I can open the dungeons on the higher difficulties for others... I'm not getting it now that it is mandated to even play : /
Got on last night to Cormyr. I have to say the lantern event sucks. It’s not hardcore… No mist stalkers spawned. We literally have to sit in each quest for 10 minutes??? No thanks, not fun. The Hound was the best hardcore ever.
It is pretty easy when I tested it out on Lamannia to not get mist stalkers in the shorter quests. Should not be as much of an issue when you level up a bit and get to longer quests. But yeah I hear you I wish they spawned a little faster.
I think the raid is meh at best, bad at worst- I will give it some time before a final. Anyway, You have nine mini bosses with 6 million hit points each that you have to beat on to get to the final battle on hard! It just feels like a slog more than anything
the reason ddo dose not get any good raids or quest they to busy working on the the game love lotro they get 100+ quest per expac and we get craped on just facts
Ed Greenwood still determines the canon for Forgotten Realms, and he has videos up including one about Myth Drannor.

Kozibean needs to learn some manners. Why is she just sitting there stuffing her face? Dragged the cast down.
