That's the problem with most fighting games. There's a lot of things you have to learn at the same time. Sf6 is not an easy game at all to get into, it took a while for me to get good. You have to understand neutral control, really tight combos, basic fighting game mechanics that might not be obvious to a rookie, timing and reactions, the fighter's moves and inputs, and then the unique rules and mechanics of sf6. Takes a long time and dedication to the game to get used to it if you're not used to fighting games in general. Modern controls help in a sense

I actually think most Diamond players would have hit all the same reaction checks, but probably not gone for optimal combo routes. The shit he does that makes people say he has inhuman reactions (he does) is wayyyyy crazier, but the opponent has to be at a certain skill level for it to even present itself. Mostly in neutral, seeing the opponent hit a button and recognizing by the spacing that it's going to miss and immediately punishing. Or being able to hit a button and go into the combo because you know it will hit, but not go into the combo because it got blocked.
