I don't think anybody has said it yet ... Her Highness, Floor Jansen, sang the end credit vocals. Hannes -- the concussed blond soldier -- is Hannes van Dahl, who is Sabaton's drummer. Floor Jansen is his wife. ••• PEACES!!!
My memory says to me that the truce started in 1914 because the soldiers in the German trenches were on Christmas Eve sang "Stille Nacht" which the British soldiers recognized as "Silent Night" and they sang together in the silence.
Yes this did happen - watch the Sabaton history episode as there are letters and journal entries that are heavily featured. At your leisure, check the live version, it's so emotional. The aria is performed the Valkyrie Queen Floor Jansen
@@B-Drags-Den it's the 110th anniversary tomorrow of the truce. Toast to those who have fallen, those still serving, those still surviving. Lest we forget.
Yes Hannes their drummer almost got blown up by the grenade ( Not a real one lol ) Is the husband of Floor Jansen. He's a really good drummer and great father to their two children. Floor added her dramatic vocals at the end credits.
First off, Great reaction as usual. sabaton craming more storytelling and substance in a few minutes than many full sized Holywood productions... they tackle PTSD, horrors of war, brotherhood, historical events...
Sadly, I believe that we lack the humanity for anything like this to ever happen again😪 One of my favorite Sabaton songs. I realize that You Tube sometimes blinds you to comments with links so I will second anothers suggestion of Nanowar of Steel "Valhalleluja" A Christmas classic as we all know Santa came out of legends of Odin.🤘❤️🔥🤘 And Viking longboats were put together with wooden pegs that could be unassembled for portage and reassembled once again on the other side. 🥰🥰Much love from a Canadian Dear🇨🇦
❣️🤘 I love that this song shows the positive side of religion and humanity❣️We need more of this. Hope you're coming back to New Nightwish. I wish you a peacefull and joyfull christmas time❣️
It's very hard to understand how difficult it must have been to continue the battle after this truce. I heard once that people purposefully tried to miss the shots, because killing others is not normal to people. I don't remember if it was about this war of some other battles, but surely it can be almost any older battle, where you saw the opposite soldiers. This song and video are so powerfull.
If you are doing Christmas tunes do consider Nanowar of Steel's Valhallelujah th-cam.com/video/S9WWz95ripA/w-d-xo.html A great parody metal song featuring a Christmas / Odin mashup. Hilarious.

True story, as always with Sabaton. A series of widespread unofficial ceasefires indeed happened during WWI around Christmas 1914.
