  • I made a coffee table from the ash hardwood that I milled up on my harbor freight sawmill.
The size of the coffee table is 36 inch by 36 inch by 21 inch tall

    Fantastic work, Jamie! 😃
Really beautiful coffee table! I really liked the stain color!
Many people don't like pocket hole screws... But you know what? I can't wait to buy a jig for myself! 😂
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

Pocket holes work great and the stain is called a weathered grey

Not a bad build except for gluing and screwing the top on. In the gulf coast area of Texas you would not get away with that for long. The changes we get in humidity means we have to allow for expansion and contraction along the width. Search youtube for how to attach a table top and check out the z clips. It would be the same amount of work or less. Thanks for sharing. I had an Alaskan saw mill for a long time, but I finally gave it away when my chain saw peter'd out.

Fantastic build To be honest I was against pocket hole screws but to be honest I am going to get a pocket hole jig and just purchasing a couple of electric tools I do not have like a planer and a bigger sander I could do this .

Nice! When you started putting the gray stain on I jumped! I thought you were painting it! I was thinking why use all this nice solid wood if you are going to just paint it!?! I think I would prefer it with a traditional stain and finish but that's just me.

My wife likes the weathered grey so happy wife happy life lol,me I would have gone with a polyurethane and keep the wood natural

Have you had issues with expansion on that table top??

Has the top split yet from binding it with screws perpendicular to the grain? I'm always worried wood movement, seen a lot of horror stories from it

One more question. What’s the thickness of the top, the bottom and the legs? Thanks.

The top is 1 inch thick and legs are 4x4 inch
