@@LeondeLeeuw The closest on the Turkish side is the town of Begendik (lit translates to "We Liked It"), the beach on the Turkish side is named after the town and is a popular spot for camping however there is also a military outpost and the closest parts to the border location are restricted access and there are military patrols as well as watch towers, so to answer your question, the southerly parts of the beach are publicly accessible where as the parts closest to the border are restricted.
Hi Katalin, I was there in May - there is a checkpoint just before Rezovo, but it was open and they told me to proceed. If you go with a large vehicle, they may want to inspect it quickly.
This is not the entrance gate, only the line of the border of 2 countries. Bulgarian don't need to Visa for get in Turkey,but for Turkish citizen required..
You get arrested by the Turkish border guards. If you are coming from Turkey, different story, no guards on the Bulgarian side, but the locals may alert the authorities.
@@dostoevsky2653 You cant just cross. There is no way. It seems ungraded, but in fact it is heavily protected. There are sensors all along the river bed and military outposts through the border. Keep in mind, that the border between Turkey and Bulgaria is the longest land border of the EU union and there are thousands of migrants trying to cross it all the time. This is a heavily militarized border, but not because of Bulgarians or Turks. Because of the migrants.

You will be shot or arrested. What you cant see in the video is there are military watch towers and military patrols along the border.
And also a wire with sensors at the bottom of the river ;)

There’s no border crossing here. You can’t cross the river, you’ll be prosecuted.
