My folks lived on this road volunteering with Forest Service. Been to Shoup. Been to Corn Creek. My folks lived further down the river at Lantz Bar. Could only get there by jet boat or hiking. Went there to visit, had to hike out 14 miles back to Corn Creek. Beautiful country, I miss my folks.
We left Hwy 93 at the intersection at North Fork, Idaho. There is a general store, post office & campground at the intersection. Thanks for riding along with us.
@@ExploringWithJohnAndGlenda well it was a beautiful program that you made anyways I could have done better than just saying the music was obnoxious the photography was wonderful thank you very much
Excellent video. Brings back memories. I drove and fished along that road when I lived in Idaho in the 1990s. Please lose the music. The sound of the river is all we need to hear.
Hey Viking. Thanks for watching our video. After I checked out your channel, I can tell we’re really laid back compared to you. Stay safe out there on the rapids. You ever run by Dug Bar up near Imnaha?
I lived near Riggins for 16 years. Never went to the top end. Thanks for the view of that part of the world! I know a couple people who ferry vehicles from Corn Creek to Riggins, for the rafters who make the 5-day trip through the Wilderness. They seem to really enjoy that job. I might, too, except that I'm not fond of wearing out my seat and back on rough roads. Walking--use it or lose it.
We use to pay the shuttle drivers then we discovered for another $25 / head we could get a jet boat ferry back up the river.. doubling the river miles was well worth the extra fee and less rough millage on your vehicles..
Hey Vince, thanks for watching. Glad you were able to see this vid to see where your brother hangs out. Maybe you'll get a chance to go there some time.
That took me back to long ago country. I could have happily stayed for a week at "the end of the road." Thank you for the trip.
Glad we took you down memory lane.
Nice to see what it looks like. The end of the road area looks interesting. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for riding along with us. Hope you will check out some of our other videos.

wow that road along the one side of the river really screws up the scenery!
Irritating music / noise.
Thanks for sharing that with us. Please remember we are just amateurs, still a lot to learn.
@@ExploringWithJohnAndGlenda I found the background music upbeat and enjoyable.

We've been to Blue Nose several times. Maybe we can record it next time we go.

@@ExploringWithJohnAndGlenda Yes, I run Hells Canyon sometimes too.
My great grandmother lived in Idaho and used to fish in this river. This was about 1912. I have black and white pictures of the Salmon River.
It's a beautiful area. Thanks for riding along with us.
Be sure to digitize those and all of your other pics for safe keeping..
Thank you for taking us along on your day trip. It was a beautiful, interesting drive.

Careful. Helped a local out of the river that had driven off the road into the water.
