while it is true that pbt keycaps do allow for rgb to pass through, abs keycaps (generally found on cheaper boards) generally allow for more light to pass through.
@@rexammus i would argue the opposite actually. Abs is a softer and more elastic plastic than pbt, making it easier to get better shapes and designs. Qc is less of problem due to a more uniform production leading to there being not so many warped abs sets. Pbt will still net you a better and deeper sound, but you will still risk qc issues more than abs.
@@breadles_ shapes and designs being fucked in the keycap world is almost unheard of. What really fucks people up about cheap ABS is that it shines over time with finger grease. Unless you use good ABS, it's going to shine. Pbt on the other hand doesn't shine even if you do it badly, that's why they used PBT. Partially to cut cost but also just easier to do.
Hearing you list off more and more features all my mind is thinking is "no shot this is anything less than $300" And after checking the price, its pretty close.

for 250$ just build a custom that you can customize and pick every single part that you actually want (and you can get keycaps that don’t look like absolute garbage)
Gasket Mount is a bit more rare though and its a full kit for beginners....once you dip your toes in then you can more confidently buy every individual part...

you can buy a Tofu60 with a decent hot-swappable PCB. Yellow or Akko switches and cheap PBT Keycaps for the same price as this keyboard. or you can just get a Keychron or Higround keyboard and save $100.
