Hey John, actually I found on page 9 of the manual, top right under grill control technology it says use function with grill only. then on page 10 top left under cooking functions it says under grill do not use the flat top barbecue griddle. I imagine the reason for that is because maybe The griddle can't handle those higher heats they don't really specify so I don't know. by the way I did cook a pizza using the griddle plate and the highest griddle setting and I thought it turned out great. it took about 6 or 7 minutes to cook using pizza dough I bought from my local pizzeria and it turned out perfect and very crisp.
Merry Christmas to you and your family, John🎄 Thank you again for sharing your adventures in all things Ninja. This pizza looks phenomenal. The Hubs would be on cloud 9 if I presented him with one 👍🏻 I do have a suggestion. My local Target has a 1/8 size sheet pan that you could use as a pizza peel. Just flip it upside down, dust with your cornmeal and pop the crust on the sheet pan. Assemble your pizza and slide it off the pan and on to the griddle top. I will definitely give this a go 🤗 I so appreciate your contributions here 😊 Stay healthy and please keep the recipes coming 😉 Karen in VA
I couldn’t find the calzone video. I am waiting on my Steam and Crisp so want to be sure I watch all the videos I can! This pizza looks amazing. Thank you for sharing this.
Hi John, I’m struggling with which NFG to go with. I have the SMART NFG XL and use the sear n sizzle to do proteins. I cook wings and proteins a lot. But I like cooking whole chickens too. Will you help me out with making a choice please? Just don’t know because I can’t find any videos on using the SMART NFG grill and griddle for baking. Thanks and stay well Suzie
Hi john! Have you been able to test out to see if you can make a replica of the Starbucks egg bites in the new ninja steamer ? I'm dying to make these just like they do and I can't find a recipe thats like theirs! Ty sir!
John, I have a suggestion for you to try., I know I’m gonna to try it. Take the dough log and cut it in half then roll it out, now you have 2 equal pieces. Another suggestion, have you ever heard of a double dough pizza? What you do is use two equal parts and double them one on top of the other, now you have a thick crust. To prevent some toppings from blowing around how about putting a pizza screen on top of the pizza. Finally use a pizza peal and build your pizza on that, then you just push it onto the griddle plate.
Hi John, i know i'm a little late to suggest, but you might want to try sauce first then pamesan , then layer the rest of your ingredients and top it up with the Mozz ;) Helps keep things grounded and the parm comes out a little more on the flavory side. ;) Thanks for your videos - i love'em !
I really enjoy your videos. I just got my Ninja Foodi grill this week for my birthday. I would like to see you do pork chops, (center cuts) on one. Thank you and Merry Christmas to you and your family.
I would suggest slightly par cooking/frying the crust..... just enuf so it is stiff & can be taken off & ingredients put on more carefully & then slid back on the hot griddle. While ingredients are being placed on 1 crust the other crust can be par cooked, etc. Just a suggestion. I have not tried this technique.
We had the NFG Smart XL and hubby returned it and bought some other thing and I miss having the ninja but he's the cook in the family. But Kohl's has this one it's not the smart one for 40% off up until tomorrow and you get $30 in Kohl's cash that's the best deal I've seen.
You will have to enquire with Ninja I should imagine at what point their teflon none stick coated accessories are rated at. Some start to emit a gas above 400 more commonly 500 F which is toxic. A lot of saucepans will give you the maximum temperature to operate and still be safe. I would Think ninja products should be safe to 450 f without concern.
The pizza looks great! The new grill/griddle is nice. Thanks for your video.❤️❤️

A joy to watch and I’m hungry now. About to go make me a pizza in my ninja foodi. Great video.
Watching John's pizza making video while I'm eating reheated pizzeria pizza. Seemed appropriate.
Fantastic!
Man, I'm glad your back! Gonna upgrade my ninjas and donate my old ones. Thanks John. Or jelly007

I haven't tried that but I'll give that some thought...I love those...

I haven't even got mine out the box yet but I'll be trying that for sure when I do, any way great video like all your videos
In my old grill I would always put SHREDDED mozzarella on top to hold the toppings down
Not a bad idea...
The cheese will burn being last on.
Airfray mod also is very good for pizza....
Great video. I don't have that machine, so I still use my old Breville Smart Oven Air for pizza.
Where do you store all of your Ninja and Instant Pot appliances?
Lol...I donate some but I actually updated a closet room just for them... and it's full again!!
@@JohnSanders lol...... !!

Grill it by using the grill plate that way you can say you had a grilled pizza

Thier selling point is not using teflon but ceramic tho
John , can you fit a whole chicken (4lb) in this grill ?
I haven't tried that yet...
@@JohnSanders Looks like if you Spatchcock the Chicken it may work.
Rather it left whole to be honest. I wont buy one .
Which is your favorite 2021 Ninja product?
It has to be the one Lid Pressure Cooker with Thermometer...
Also that way you can get that $500° for the pizza
Grill It🤔🤔
Under bread grill is on max in the book
Page 32 too has pizza on max
oo7 hey
Hey...
I think the word you wanted was semolina, definitely not salmonella. 😀
Lol...I totally agree... that word would just not cooperate...I may have to practice that one if I need it again!!!
pizza just suck in ninja... its dry af
