I had a less than ideal space for growing my first full year of hopniss. I planted 3 varieties in a fairly Sandy area 2 Augusts' past. Two of the plants came up fairly spindly soon as it was decently warm . The last variety didn't actually emerge from the ground until late July. I hope to amend the soil with composted wood chips and manure. Perhaps I can rig up bucket drip irrigation for them. Too many varieties of plants as well as animals are being lost because they're not profitable for multinational gene giants. Covid-19 has revealed that there is a demand for home gardening and personal expression and choice. Perhaps classical Horticultural techniques of plant breeding can be valued Again by universities and taught. I appreciate the work that has been done and that is being done for hopniss. Thank you for what you are doing and for acknowledging the personal aspect of plant breeding in meeting our needs. It's the personal involvement that affirms I reason to exist.

I’d love to buy and plant a superior variety of Apios Americana, how can I get some to try?

The audio quality stinks, I hope it, too, like the North American "Potato bean" will improve for later seasons.
