One of my all time favourite tarantulas, awesome to see yours! I get what you mean about them being ‘crazy in a fun way’, my big girl (roughly 7 inches) is wild, but watching her dash over and hit her prey like a truck never gets old… I’m not a fan of horror films usually, but the original ‘Alien’ and Carpenter’s ‘The Thing’ stand out as two great films for me… atmospheric, tense, gruesome and phenomenal stories above all else. Just sci-fi horror at its best.
They are such awesome spiders, and I'm glad that you agree with the "crazy in a fun way." I've argued before that Carpenter's "The Thing" might be the best overall horror movie of all time. So much suspense AND the bonus of amazing special effects... And "Alien" is another amazing one. Great choices!
No horror for me. A few weeks back I got some unskippable youtube ad for Evil Dead Rise and I had to turn all the lights on. I love seeing your tripepii. I got a very tiny sling in September of 2021 and it’s maybe 1.25” now, but really has a fun “personality”.
Tom, great stuff, as always. 3 fav. horror movies (including pseudomovies) 3) The Witch 2) Let the Right One In (original Swedish) 1) The Haunting of Bly Manor But as we all know, a top three list is impossible, so I'll add a few more. Call them honorable mentions: Lair of the White Worm The Hunger Event Horizon Eyes of Fire The Evil Dead (original) I specifically excluded what I consider to be Monster Movies, distinct from the horror moniker. These would include: Alien(s) Jeepers Creepers 2 A Quiet Place
I ADORE the Witch, and we watch it at least once every summer. Such a beatifully shot and acted horror film. I also love The Lighthouse by Robert Eggers. All great choices! I love that Event Horizon has been getting some love. Thanks for chiming in!
Thx 4 sharing Tom. Yeah, Nhandu genus very hardy and I also think, they are good for beginners like acanthoscurria geniculata. But as you said, the uricating hairs are not funny. My girls like to bolt and they are a little bit skittish, but o defensive behavior. By the way... 1. Evil Dead (1981) 2. The Exorcist (1973) 3. The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) Have a great week and stay save! Greetings Chris 🤘
Hey, Chris! Great choices; all three are on my favorites list...along with like 50 others. haha I honestly can't narrow it down! And I agree completely on their suitability as beginners; they are just so hardy and cool. I've seen no defensive stuff either. As always, thanks for watching and for always commenting!
One of my all time fav underrated tarantula and it does grow really really really fast, it surprised me how fast it grows absolutely beautiful and stunning so coolest
Was not expecting that years later, anything Stephen King. Misery, The Shining, Thinner..... Probably if I had to whittle it down three. Picking three movies is nearly impossible as you mentioned, those were among the first horror movies I saw as a kid so they'll likely never change. As always great video and tarantula Tommy Boy! Keep up the great work! P.S. Thank you Billie for the camera work!
A King fan, eh? I totally respect that! haha The Shining is probably my #1, but I love the other two as well. I stopped trying to get down to 3, as it was impossible for mer. haha Thank you so much!
Brilliant video Tom and a fabulous species featured, the Exorcist, the Omen and Psycho would have to be my top three, however there's a few more i could have included but they'd be in my top ten.
Hey Tom, how are you and Billie doing lately? Bet you're glad school is out. Well it is here, and this crazy Uber Granny is busy. I'm not complaining, I love my grand kids and know my time is short. At 70, I know I'm not getting any younger...lol. Okay, the ONE horror movie that scared the crap out of me (and this goes way, way back) was They Came From Outer Space. They did a remake of it, I think in the late 70's or early 80's. Anyhow, I could never watch it to the end. It took me about 30 years to watch it start to finish. But for the most part, horror movies do nothing for me. In fact, I laughed my hinny off watching the Exorcist. I don't have a Nhandu trippers but I do have a N. coloratovillosus. Got her as a small juvie two years ago. She's about 5" now. She's quite skittish, and has given me a threat poses occasionally, usually when cleaning. I agree, the hair I'd heard stories on how bad they ate, but I haven't had any reaction to flicked hair. In fact, none of my T's hairs bother me. And I'm going on three years now keeping T's. Well, you and your family have a great weekend. Oh, BTW, I'll be driving through Connecticut going to Attleboro, MA again in October. My landlord's family is having a huge family gathering and cookout and they requested, (more like commanded) I come as well. LOL! Thanks for doing these videos for us.
Hello, Linda! We're doing great! School doesn't end for us until next week, so I've got a few days to go. I hope that you and yours are doing well! Ha! And that's awesome! I've seen the original They Came From Outer Space; they used to play it on Creature Feature when I was a kid. I'm growing up a N. coloratovillosus myself now; my last was a male sadly. And that's awesome! What part of Connecticut will you be driving through? Thanks again! Tom
@TomsBigSpiders Usually on I-95 going east towards Providence then just over the Stateline into Massachusetts on State Highway 1A or something like that. OH! I have to tell you, I was fixated on my T. blondi a friend gave me in February. She was finally molting. I was checking my T's like I always do in the morning when I first get up, and there she was, laying on her back and doing that Slo-mo twitching they do. I didn't bother her but watched with total fascination. When she finally finished, she stretched out then brought her legs in close, then stretched them out again for about an hour or so. Then, and this was weird, she then dragged her exoskeleton and lay on top of it. Like a dragon perched on its treasure. Now it's literally perched into a corner with all the legs pointing to the top of her enclosure, like an abstract art sculpture...lol! I don't want to stress her out and take her shed yet, since she tends to be defensive. Her DSL, is close to 7". Well it's way late and I need to get some sleep. Father's Day is next week, hope you have a great day. And both you and Billie have a great summer. Hope that Canadian smoke goes away soon.
They are stunning spiders and I have to say I love Nicki! I love her attitude and spunk as well as her craziness!! I always liked Lake Placid, Arachnophobia and Day of the Dead.
Ooooo... Great choices! I just rewatched Day of the Dead a couple weeks ago. haha Arachnophobia and Lake Placid are awesome horror comedies as well, and I'm always a sucker for those! Thank you!
The Shining was my very first horror flick, so it will always have a spot in my top 3. Tucker and Dale vs. Evil because I love a good horror/comedy. And my #1 favorite is Eldritch USA - it's an indie picture made in my hometown of Springfield, Mo - I even had a tiny appearance in it!
Soooo...now I have to check out Eldritch USA. Where can I find it, and when do you appear, Bobbi? haha The Shining is probably my #1, and Tucker and Dale vs. Evil is one of my favorites to throw on when I'm bored. It's up there with Shaun of the Dead for best horror comedies. What a clever premise! Thanks for chiming in!
They do have a subtle beauty to them which makes them quite attractive, IMO. Though I would probably pick a geniculata over this one because I like their pattern a bit more. As for horror films, not much of a fan to be honest, but off the top of my head in no particular order... 1. Nosferatu (1922 Silent version/1979 Remake with the late Klaus Kinski as Dracula) 2. Kiss of The Tarantula (1975 B-movie featuring loads of live B. hamorii) 3. Arachnophobia (Not really a horror flick, but there it is) Stay safe and thanks for sharing :)
Hey, Luc! They really do. Geniculata are stunning as well. Great choices there, bud! I just rewatched Kiss of the Tarantula recently. haha Hope all is well!
The original Susperia is easily in my top 3 of all time. I LOVE the movie...and that soundtrack! I just rewatched Tombs of the Blind Dead a few weeks ago! haha
The Thing (1982) Event Horizon Evil Dead 2 Love the video Tom. I have a female N. tripepii around the same size as this one and she has been really fun to raise up. She tends to be very inquisitive when I am changing her water or doing general maintenance.
Glad to hear mine isn't the only one with a cool personality. And great choices! I love all three. EH is particulary underrated. I'm still holding out hope that they find the cut scenes of the old crew in hell someday...
Lovely video Mr Moran! I’ve never considered a Nhandu tripepii before, I might have when I was starting out and didn’t know my Acanthoscurria geniculata from a Nhandu chromatus, but I think at the time I settled for the Tliltocatl albopilosus instead. It’s a pity I can’t get all the different types of gorgeous tarantulas out there! Perhaps one day, but not today lol. Growing slings is terribly nerve wracking and I remember waking up randomly to check on my first sling, a Cyriocosmus elegans, and being more relaxed with my Grammostola pulchra sling. Ringu is perhaps my favorite horror movie of all time, although it might be a bias because I loved the book. Teketeke is another one that has genuinely scared me off overpasses forever. And I don’t know if Aliens count as horror but I absolutely love it!
Ringu was the one that kicked off my obsession with Asian horror. I have a couple hundred Asian horror movies on DVD, mostly imported in the early 2000s. And Aliens counts in my book! Awesome movie. There are just so many cool species out there, it can be difficult to pick. If you ever do get one, make sure that you let me know! Hope all is well, Mausami Rai!
Hello Tom, thank you and Billie for the video. It's very useful as (weather permitting) we're getting a tripepii sling soon. Looking forward to seeing it arrive and grow. I find theraphosa hairs the worst to deal with of the spiders we've kept but they're such amazingly wonderful spiders. We did watch to the end. Some of my favourite horror films are; The House by the Cemetery, El orfanato and A Tale of Two Sisters. 😊
Great list of movies! House by the Cemetery is a favorite, and A Tale of Two Sisters not only creeped me out, but the twist was insane. Congrats on getting an N. tripepii! You'll love it. :)
We watch all ur videos tom! Ur a great source of information and ive got my wife snd daughter watching a few of videos weekly. Were having alot fun with the hobby and ur a big part of that thank u! 24 T’s and counting taking it slow and enjoying watching them grow😁😁
The N tripepii is one that I definitely want to get eventually. Currently, I can only keep my tarantulas in one room. Since I now have 9 tarantulas, I think I’ll be taking a break from making any more purchases unless I find a really good offer. I’m not much of a horror film guy, but my favorite one that I’ve watched is definitely The Ring
I watched the original Ring in the theaters with a horror movie fanatic buddy of mine, and I remember we both got chills at the ending. And it sounds like you're being responsible, which is awesome! Thanks again!
Hey bud. I got myself a 2in female due to you and another youtuber. So far its super chill. In heavy pre-molt right now and im really excited to see it in a fresh molt for the first time soon. 1. Aliens 1+2 (Used to have nightmares as a kid due to them) 2. The Thing (also a movie that scared me as a kid) 3. Grudge ( That Asian movie) Have many more favorites, so its impossible for me to rank them really.
How's it going, bud! I tried to make a list myself, and gave up at 25. I honestly can't narrow it down. haha So thanks for tyring, and GREAT choices! I imported the entire Grudge (Ju On) series on DVD years ago, and those movies creeped me the hell out. Billie actually refused to watch them. haha Hope all is well!
@@TomsBigSpiders Hahaha yes Grudge once it came out, just affected me in a whole new way. It was probably one of the few that actually could creep me out as an adult 😅 "The Ring" did it a little bit too back when it came out tbh. All good here. Summer finally arrived here in the cold northen Europe 😃 Its a big thing, TRUST ME haha. Hope all is good on your end of the pond too 👍
Yeah I have been thinking about adding this species to the ones that I am wanting to get. Now my 3 favorite horror movies are: 1) The Amityville Horror 2) The Exorcist 3) The Conjuring.
Carnival of Souls, Eaten Alive, & Dead Alive (AKA Brain Dead) Great video.. I recently got 4 slings.. one of them a Nhandu tripepii.. Its great so far.. spends a lot of time in its burrow.. comes out to eat now and then.. looking forward to watching it grow..
GREAT list. I absolutely LOVE Carnival of Souls and was lucky enough to Candace Hillingoss and get a picture with her many years ago. Brain Dead (and Bad Taste) are also favorites in my house. You have great taste! :) Yeah, mine all all still doing a bit of hiding in their burrows, and they are getting much larger now!
Great video Tom as always . I love my n.tripepii in fact i got it due to you talking so favorably about yours . I am not into horror films at all but always watch till the end .If Alien counts as horror then it would be my number one .
Great video as always Tom. I got a N. tripepii about the same size as the one you rehouse and it's a great spider. She is chill and as you say always visible. My pick for the movies would be: 1. Alien 2. Event Horizont 3. Cube / Hellraiser
Hey, Christopher! They are just such cool spiders. CUBE! I love that whole series (although they get a little goofy towards the end). Even Horizon has been getting a lot of votes, which is awesome. And Alien scared the hell out of me as a kid. Great choices!
Tim Currie version of It. It was the first horror movie I loved. I used to watch it with my sister all the time when I was about 9 or 10. I would say Alien, I definitely class it as a horror movie and... Oooh this is difficult. Do I go Evil Dead? Pet semertary was another childhood favourite... Or lost boys. I'm cheating I can't decide.
Thats probably the hardest question you could ask me, since I watch a horror movie every night 4 or 5 days a week! So, I'll give you two lists. First is my Top 3 favorite well known horror movies: 3. The Taking of Deborah Logan (2014) 2. Bad Moon (1996) 1. Alien (1979) And here's my Top 3 favorite more obscure horror flicks! 3. The Void (2016) 2. Antrum (2018) 1. Evidence (2012)
We were JUST talking about The Taking of Deborah Logan...that movie was fantastic! I"ll be watching it again this sommer. Bad Moon - Thor the dog RULES! haha I actually read the book for that one. haha The whole book is from Thor the dog's POV. And Alien? A classic! I've actually seen all three of your obscure one. haha The Void was an amazing throwback to '80s rental horror. Is Evidence the found footage one? If so, yup...great flick. I enjoyed Antrum overall, but I'll need to watch it again. I think that I had unrealistically high expectations on that one. Great choices!
@@TomsBigSpiders You are a real horror buff for sure, I don't think I've ever met anyone else who had seen Antrum and Evidence! Your memory is correct too, Evidence is the found footage film that starts off as a totally cliche and almost a little boring "college kids go camping in the woods and spooky things start happening" kind of movie for the first half of the film, then the second half suddenly shifts gears into this crazy balls-to-the-wall roller coaster ride of the remaining characters fleeing from creatures on a military base. Found footage is definitely my favorite horror genre, and Evidence just had such a unique twist with the breakneck pacing of the second half that I had to pick it as my favorite. =)
Enjoyed the vid, Tom. You’ve made my rehousings go so incredibly smoothly just by seeing how you handle them. Thanks for doing what you do. I Literally ALMOST picked up a N. Tripepii today at Repticon. Already have an N. coloratovillosus and an N. chromatus, both MM. not the biggest fan of either of them. But I keep eyeballing the Tripepii, and need that blonde colour pop in my collection. 🤷🏻♂️ I always watch through the entire video so I guess I should participate. I don’t watch that much horror, like, at all. But I’m taking notes on all the recommendations. Thanks for making it easy on me 😂
Hello, Sam! I'm so glad that these have helped! Maybe you can pick one up in the future. And there are some GREAT recommendations here, so definitely write them down! hahaha Thank you!
Great video thanks for sharing. I’m don’t watch much horror anymore but how bout , the Blair witch project, Paranormal activity, and Interview with a vampire.
Hi Tom! Hope you are doing well! Idk if you remember I had to downsize my collect/part ways due to some personal things. I have only 8 left and one is a n. Tripepii…I got it as an 1/8” sling from FNT and now it’s about 3” and I just can’t part with it…..but Nhandu’s are still my favs
Great to hear from you, CM! Well, I'm glad that you still have some left. They are such gorgeous and kind of underrated spiders. Thanks for chiming in; I hope that all is well!
Great video Tom. Not a Nhandu but my T ockerti finally threw her moult out for me today and I have a confirmed female, which O am very pleased at. My N tripepii is still a sling, probably around 1¼" now, steadily growing 😊 Horror movies, well, showing my age, but being a Gen X my all time favourite has to be Lost Boys. I don't recall watching many recently so I'll have to come back and read the comments in a week or so for recommendations 😅
Fellow Gen X'er her (the BEST Gen, in my opinion. haha) and I LOVE The Lost Boys. Over the years, it's become one of my all time favorites. And congrats on getting the female T. ockerti...that's awesome! Thanks again!
I'm not a horror film fan however I had to watch a few horror films to realize that. Would Michael Jackson's Thriller video count? I do like that and Seven, and Amityville Horror from 80s. I'll also share that It is my all time last favorite horror film. Penniwise is terrifying!!! Love you videos. Got into your channel cause my son loves spiders starting at the age of 3. He's 10 now and your channel has taught him a lot!
Hi, Heather! I would say that Thriller counts! And Se7en and Amityville Horror definitely do! And thank you so much! Wow...seven years? That's awesome!
I impulsively picked up a new spider at a show recently, went for one of these as I'd never owned one and I'm excited to see it grow! they're really quite beautiful
Odd coincidence! I bought a N. tripepii sling at an expo today. Any-ho, of all time? 1) Evil Dead II 2) The Thing (1982) 3) The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) 4) Dawn of the Dead (1978) 5) Dead Alive I could keep going, but that is enough. ;)
Thanks again Tom and Billie for this great rehousing video. I really can't name any, my wife is more in to horror movies. But I can say for sure that Finnish 🇫🇮 weather forecast for the summer gives me (+4 deg.celsius now and raining) goosebumps, so that's enough horror for me😂 greetings from 🇫🇮
I’m more a fan of sci-fi like Predator or Alien. I do like the Conjuring movies, but I also like Pet Cemetery, Poltergeist, The Shining. Cujo was another good one.
Great video Tom I agree they are gorgeous I've got a female about 5.5 ' I agree a little skittish but bold aways out.does not kick much hair though.i would say a must have in anyone's collection.
My sling arrives tomorrow 😄already got the carapoensis and colorovillosus slings. Just the chromatus left, And i have to say its very rewarding to raise a sling to an adult. Always watching to the very end. keep it up!
Congrats! They are awesome little spiders. And the Chromatus has been moved to the genus Vitalius, so you can knock that one off your list now. :( Thanks so much!
The originals or the remakes? Billie and I saw both the remakes of House on Haunted Hill and 13 Ghosts at the theaters and watch both a few times every year. :) Great choices!
Okay so top 3 horror movies 1. Dawn of the dead 2. Evil dead 3. Event horizon Love your videos Tom, I got into your videos about a year ago and I’m now working through your podcast while I commute to work on the bus. You’ve also inspired me to start making my own TH-cam videos which I try to keep educational but also inject a little humour when I can, love the content you proved as it’s helped me develop as a keeper
Thanks so much for the kind words, and I'm so glad that you appreciate the podcast. I'll will definitely check out your channel in a moment (I need to answer some comments first!). And all three movies would be on my favorite's list. "Even Horizon" is particularly underrated, in my opinion! Thanks!
Thanks Tom, great video! Also, here's my list: 1. American Psycho 2. Silence of the Lambs 3. Wrong Turn Franchise (I know...I know... I just love dumb brain-dead slashers😂)
Fun story: Billie, my sister in law, and I went to go see American Psycho when it first came out, and the people in front of us got up and left because they were annoyed with me laughing at some of the scenes. haha I LOVE that movie and used to quote it all of the time. We also saw the original Wrong Turn in the theaters, and I enjoy the sequels (I even enjoyed the remake quite a bit). And Silence of the Lambs? Yup...a classic. haha Thanks!
Great video again Tom, as always, totally on the button, tripepii are great to raise as slings, I'd say 95% of my T's have all been bought as slings, it's gratifying in my opinion. Had a mm male years ago, called it Clyde, managed to get a sling about 6 months ago with a coloratovillosus too. Of course, praying for a female of both. 1) An American Werewolf in London 2) The Thing (original and remake sorry to say) 3) Hellraiser
Can't argue with any of those three! I plan to rewatch An American Werewolf in London this summer....it's been a couple years. The Thing is one of the greatest horror films of all time, in my opinion. Love the name Clyde! hahaha I'm currently raising up my second coloradtovillosus (my last was a male). Thanks for chiming in, Sean!
@@TomsBigSpiders AWWIL is in my opinion the best, I still don't think, even with today's technology they have managed to best the transformation in that film, I've been waiting to get the coloratovillosus for ages, I don't even mind if it ends up male, I have one now lol.
I am a HUGE horror fan, and I’m so happy about this question! It’s hard to narrow down to three but right now I think I would say Re-Animator, Exorcist, and Devil’s Rejects. Knowing that you are a huge horror fan yourself now, I would love to have you as a guest on our horror pod cast. Let me know if that would be something you are interested in and we can chat further 😀
Hello, Patrick! I honestly couldn't narrow it down. haha And considering that my tarantula podcast was supposed to be a horror movie podcast, I would love to chat with you some time! Shoot me an email at tomsbigspiders@outlook.com so we can figure out how to make it happen. And great choices!
I really love my Nhandu tripepii ❤ She has been a sweetheart. I think mine might have kicked hair once. I found out quickly that they are awesome to keep. And you are right.... my A. geniculata and tripepii are very similar in behavior. 1. Exorcist 2. It 3. Bram Stoker's Dracula
They just offer so much in terms of beauty and ease of care. GREAT list! The original 90s It or the new one (I'm a 90s fan myself, but I loved the two new ones!).
Tim Curry's Pennywise is iconic and you'd think it couldn't get any better than that, but the new Pennywise is definitely scarier. I'm not sure which one I love more lol
I absolutely love nhandus, what a treat to see yours!! Thanks for sharing them with us, I hope you’ll keep posting updates as they mature 🕷💕 I think nhandus might be my all time favourites for all the reasons you mentioned… a chromatus was one of my early T’s and her nickname was “little miss jump scare” because she never tackled her dinner from the direction I was expecting haha. Favorite horror films at this moment in time are probably The Shining, The Babadook, and His House. Any chance you’ll be sharing yours next video as recommendations?
The Shining is probably my favorite of all time...I think. haha Babadook was excellent, and I plan to rewatch it this summer. His House...yikes, I've never seen it! That just went right to the top of my watch list; thanks! And I will definitely do updates in the future. Thank you!
I was responding back to fear not about my order I placed on Thursday and this video popped up at the same time. That was pretty cool. Both are Omothymus . Btw watched that video long time ago on them.
The original IT, nightmare on elm street cant come up with a third but if its steven king i have almost all his novels in hard cover oh wait resident evil and underworld series’ are great as well
Well, as slashers are a horror sub-genre, those definitely count. And I love the Terrifier movies as well! I'm a slasher fan from back in the day. haha
Hey Tom! Awesome video as always! N. tripepii is currently at the top of my wishlist, along with O. schioedtei. Not sure where I heard this but I could have sworn these guys got like 8 inches, lol. Knowing that's not the case is actually better for me (but worse for my wallet) as I'm trying to hold off on larger spiders since I'm collecting all the Omothymus/Lampropelma/Phormingochilus and those guys get B I G so I have to manage my space a little more effectively. Your specimens are so beautiful, I cannot wait to have one in my collection! ALSO I am BEYOND pleased to inform you that my TEENY TINY little Pseudhapalopus sp. Columbia HAS SUCCESSFULLY MOULTED! It was a party in my house today... I was so convinced I was going to kill that thing it literally made my eyes cross trying to focus on it. Granted, it does not appear to have put on any size, but this is at the very least an indication that I'm not royally screwing up. I'm so excited, truly. Also I FINALLY found a mature male E. murinus, so things are actually in the works for me to pair.... which is both scary and exciting! Top 3 favourite horror movies oof that's hard, I tend to have like categories of horror movies I like and I kinda have favourites from each subgenre if that makes sense. I love Kingdom of the Spiders but that is barely even horror so I'm not gonna count that. Lake Placid with Betty White was amazing but I don't think that's even really a horror movie cause it's so ridiculous, and same with Sharknado. I love those campy, awful "so bad they're good" movies but I don't think those necessarily count. Actual list at the moment: 1. The Mist. Honestly ask me a different day and it'll be a different Stephen King movie, but this one was SO well done. The ending stuck with me for many years and still gets me. That movie *terrified* me. Tie that with The Shining.... it's just too good to not be mentioned. UGH! Any Stephen King film!!!! Can I just name them all??? Christine, Desperation, IT, Salem's Lot, The Stand... TOM YOU CAN'T MAKE ME PICK JUST ONE!!!! The man is a true artist. I remember watching Twister as a kid and they had a clip of The Shining playing at the gas station as it was destroyed by the tornado and I was OBSESSED with seeing it after that. My parents said I was too young and of course the first thing I did was go download it and watch it... that stuck with me. 2. The Beyond- for some reason this one really, REALLY stuck with me... not necessarily just the gore but the whole atmosphere and nonsensical nature made it hit hard. 3. Tie between The Conjuring series and Insidious series- both have Patrick Wilson and are directed by James Wan so like I literally can't pick, don't make me! Honourable mentions: Black Water and Bait, both Australian films. I like these because it's not "random shark/crocodile attack", the people are in situations which would genuinely be conducive to such attacks (at least moreso than just "random person swimming in the ocean OH NO GIANT SHARK") which makes them all the more horrifying. Also, recently saw The Descent and caves are my biggest fear (tie that in with Black Water 2...) and I REALLY like the way it was filmed! It's all about ✨atmosphere✨ for me! Keep up the awesome work! - Charlotte
Man, Billie and I STILL argue about The Mist. It has one of my favorite endings of all time because it's so darned nasty. haha The Beyond is one of my all-time favorites....love me some Fulchi. The Descent would work well as just suspense, with all the cave stuff, and then they introduce the mutants. Such a great movie. You have great tastes! haha And congrats on the molt!!!
I'm surprised that not many folks have listed The Hills Have Eyes. It's a classic! And Jaws probably scared me more than any other movie EVER. Great choices!
3. Event Horizon - 2. Army of Darkness - 1. Gremlins. Yeah, pretty tame, I know. I was never that big of a horror movie fan. I absolutey love H.P. Lovecraft, though.
It's funny to me that you mentioned Genics and Trepepiis at the same time, I got 3 each of them back in June 2021 at around half an inch. I find the Trepepii's easy to take care of they grew pretty steadily the biggest is around 3.5 inch at the moment. The hairs are pretty bad mine doesnt even kick hairs I bet its just the hairs they shed around the enclosure and my hands still itches bad. Temperament wise they're skittish but not as much as other species I've never had any of them bolt crazily in its enclosure. They eat well but are easily spooked so I had to leave dead prey often just to have them eat. In conclusion they're great I'd even recommend to beginners just because I find them easy to take care of. Ps: I'm finally joining the Phormic team today, I got a 4" Inch fem Atrichomatus that will arrive today! Any species specific advice you have for these?
Hey, Jem! I hope all is well, bud! They seem to be very similar genera, and the species are quite comparable. I love both genera! And congrats on grabbing a Phormictopus; that's awesome! I have three female Atrichomatus, and they are HUGE. They are also very laid back. Moist sub as babies, but you can dry things out a bit and give them a water dish once they put on some size. My juvies enjoyed burrowing, but my big girls just sit out in the open now.
The Shining, original Carrie and The Others w/ Nicole Kidman. I always watch till the end of your videos unless it's one I've seen before and I just need to know one or two things for reference . Don't have an N. tripeppii, but do have a beautiful sub-adult A. Gen female about 4 in dls.
This makes me soooo happy to see someone enjoy and know Session 9. Such a gem and what made me like horror movies so much more. Psychological horror is one of the absolute best genres of horror.
I do know this is one of your older videos, but I am a very big fan of Halloween The movie series and I am very into Annabelle and The conjuring. Those are my top three
I’ve always been a fan of the Nightmare on Elm series as it’s a bit campy. I also like The Devil’s Rejects. Real question for you, Tom. As a teacher do you ever bring any spiders into your classroom? Some of my students have asked me when I’m bringing a tarantula in. If you do, how do you make sure they’re safe (the spiders)?
I saw The Devils Rejects at the theater with Billie and my Mom (a horror fan). Let that sink in for a moment.... haha And I love the Nightmare series! I have not yet, but I plan to next year. My biggest fear is putting the spiders at risk.
Friday the 13th, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Saw. Love your videos new to keeping T’s and such. Keep and have bred snakes for years. Your videos have given me a lot of confidence in keeping T’s.
Great choices, Eric! I still think that the sequence with the sister having the allergic reaction in Hereditary is one of the greatest horror scenes of all time.
Mine seem to only kick hairs during rehousings and the occasional maintenance as well. My Chromatus juvie actually threat posed me for the first time ever, yesterday and it made me giggle. Obsessed with Nhandus in the first two years of keeping and still enjoy them. I feel like its impossible to choose only 3! So I'm going to cheat, giving some nostalgic honorable mentions after my top. *Se7en, Nightmare On Elm Street (Dream Warriors esp.), and Marty's.* Love Rob Zombies Halloweens, 2nd is actually relatable as horrid as that sounds. I dont understand the hate and I love the originals too. The 2nd of both is incredible and both favorites of the franchise! The Mist, Black Swan, I Saw The Devil, Train To Busan, Black Metal Veins & Chritiane F., Session 9, and High Tension. Forcing myself to stop now. It's just way too hard to narrow them down and I love a chance to get underrated gems out there. 😅
Hey, Zulema! I love when they threat pose and it's so cute that you just have to laugh. I couldn't choose three at all. I made a list and gave up when I had over 25 movies listed and couldn't come up with a good order. I really liked the first Zombie Halloween, but I have to admit that I HATED the second. Like, really loathed it. haha That said, it's been a while, so I probably need to rewatch it. Have you seen the unrated version of Haut Tension? That movie is absolutely BONKERS, and I love it! Martyr's is fantastic (as is Inside). Jeeze...so many good ones. haha Anyone who put Session 9 is good people as far as I'm concerned. I absolutely LOVE that movie. "Do it, Gordon..." CHILLS. Awesome stuff! Thank you for chiming in!
@TomsBigSpiders I'm glad I wasn't the only one who couldn't decide. It really is so cute sometimes lol! The majority of people hate it and I also have to admit there are a few cringey horrendous parts in it. Luckily they're not too long, even though it feels like forever.😅 I just love how ptsd was portrayed more realistically, Scout's aesthetic was everything, some good tunes etc. I actually finally made my own sticker to look like one she had on her bathroom mirror. I haven't seen it, I certainly need to!! I love the atmosphere and I have a morbid obsession with state psychiatric wards. The old ones were so gorgeous, so filming the real Danvers is awesome. Most people I've met have never even heard of Session 9 sadly.
@@zulemazahir666 I definitely owe it another watch. I just remember Sheri Moon Zombie on the horse, honestly. haha The atmospher in Session 9 is FANTASTIC, as are the characters and acting. I also love that it nailed down what it's like to work on a crew that is doing dirty thankless jobs. I spent years at a marina doing fiberglass repair, and they absolutely nailed the relationships and tensions that arise between crew members!
Hi Tom and Billie, hope you’re both doing great today. The juvie was just sweet as can be “apart from a wee bit of hair flicking” at the beginning 😂 and “sklttish” at the end 😊 BUT, that adult female is to die for 💕🕷️I wouldn’t want to get on her bad side 😂😂 #1 Carrie #2 Red Dragon #3 Christine Not scarily hardcore am I 😂 Take care and have a great week ahead 💙💕🕷️
Top 3 favorite horror films in no particular order: 1. Lake Mungo 2. Misery 3. The Night of the Hunter (I think it’s a drama technically, but it’s terrifying enough to be a horror film - “Wait Until Dark” falls into this category to in my opinion!)
I think Lake Mungo is one of the best horror movies (especially in terms of faux documentaries) that I've ever seen. I get chills just writing about it. And the other two are great films as well!
@@TomsBigSpiders I absolutely agree about Lake Mungo. I recommend it to everyone. I've never seen anything like it, or as well-executed as it is. Such a poignant story as well.
My top 3 horror movies are 1. Hellraiser (the original one for the beautiful practical effects) 2. Scream (again original, it’s just a fun movie to watch) 3. Insidious (I named my P. victori Insidious)
Love the name Insidious...that's awesome! My daughter, Sid, is named after Sidney in Scream. haha And the practical effects in Hellraiser STILL stand up!
Cabin in the woods, the nun, the exorcist My top 3 favorite horror movies. I just resently had my beautiful psalmopoeus pulcher hook out and i wanted another fuffy blond tarantula and i was on the fence for either another psalmopoeus, h mac, and the nhandu tripeii. I saw a big female tripeii and bought one right away. She is super cute
That's awesome!!! Honestly, I get that they can be dangerous if they are in your home, so I definitely don't blame people who live in those areas for wanting them gone.
I was looking at an N tripepii over the weekend but I didn't end up getting it. Looks like my next feeder run is going to be more expensive as usual lol. I'm not a huge horror buff, but I grew up on Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street franchises.
I can't argue with any of those! Oh God...you are the FIRST person to ask me! haha I didn't give mine because I can't seem to settle on three. The Shining, Halloween, and Suspiria (the originals) would be my choice at the moment. haha
Rocky Horror Picture Show Saw 1&2 House on Haunted Hill This spider is on my top 3 list of ones I would like to get. There's this one, the Aphonapelma chalcodes , and the Chaco Golden Knee.❤
One of my all time favourite tarantulas, awesome to see yours! I get what you mean about them being ‘crazy in a fun way’, my big girl (roughly 7 inches) is wild, but watching her dash over and hit her prey like a truck never gets old…
I’m not a fan of horror films usually, but the original ‘Alien’ and Carpenter’s ‘The Thing’ stand out as two great films for me… atmospheric, tense, gruesome and phenomenal stories above all else. Just sci-fi horror at its best.
They are such awesome spiders, and I'm glad that you agree with the "crazy in a fun way."
I've argued before that Carpenter's "The Thing" might be the best overall horror movie of all time.
Oh dear...that doesn't sound like fun! haha And thank so much! I'm glad that yours is "fun" too! :)
Another great video Tom!
My top three horror film are all the original classics:
1. Halloween
2. The Fog
3. The Shining
I forgot shining
You have three of my top 5 there! Chris, you have EXCELLENT taste in horror films! haha
Another great video! Our N tripepii, Ouija, is one of our favorites!
1. VHS
2. Event Horizon
3. Resurrection (1999 with Christopher Lambert)
Great choices! Man, I don't know if I've seen Resurrection...I'm going to have to seek that one out! Thanks for chiming in!
I wore my LOG shirt today also 😂. Hands down my favorite metal band!
You have great taste, my friend. haha
Tom, great stuff, as always.
3 fav. horror movies (including pseudomovies)
3) The Witch
2) Let the Right One In (original Swedish)
1) The Haunting of Bly Manor
But as we all know, a top three list is impossible, so I'll add a few more. Call them honorable mentions:
Lair of the White Worm
The Hunger
Event Horizon
Eyes of Fire
The Evil Dead (original)
I specifically excluded what I consider to be Monster Movies, distinct from the horror moniker. These would include:
Alien(s)
Jeepers Creepers 2
A Quiet Place
I ADORE the Witch, and we watch it at least once every summer. Such a beatifully shot and acted horror film. I also love The Lighthouse by Robert Eggers. All great choices! I love that Event Horizon has been getting some love. Thanks for chiming in!
Thx 4 sharing Tom. Yeah, Nhandu genus very hardy and I also think, they are good for beginners like acanthoscurria geniculata. But as you said, the uricating hairs are not funny. My girls like to bolt and they are a little bit skittish, but o defensive behavior.
By the way...
1. Evil Dead (1981)
2. The Exorcist (1973)
3. The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974)
Have a great week and stay save!
It really is such an amazing species, Tim! Thank you!
All of the Alien movies and the Predator movies!!!!
I've watched every one!
All the Jaw's movies, Lake Placid, Any disaster movie, Aracina movie, Tremors, Jarazic world, Megladon.
Connie Halvorsen.
Great choices, Connie! You like the creature features, eh? Love it!
Carrie, His house and Paranormal Activity. Are three that spring to mind. Wonderful content with stunning T’s as usual Thankyou x
Man, you're the second person to put His House. I don't know how I missed that one! I will remedy that ASAP. And great choices! Thanks so much, Lisa!
Brilliant video Tom and a fabulous species featured, the Exorcist, the Omen and Psycho would have to be my top three, however there's a few more i could have included but they'd be in my top ten.
Great choices (and great taste!) there, George. You chose some classics! Thanks for chiming in!
Hi from the North West of England, One of my favorites Tom, love them ❤❤❤
Greetings from the US! That's awesome, thank you!
Where can I find it, and when do you appear, Bobbi? haha
The Shining is probably my #1, and Tucker and Dale vs.
1. Nosferatu (1922 Silent version/1979 Remake with the late Klaus Kinski as Dracula)
2. Kiss of The Tarantula (1975 B-movie featuring loads of live B. hamorii)
3. Arachnophobia (Not really a horror flick, but there it is)
Stay safe and thanks for sharing :)
Hey, Luc! They really do. Geniculata are stunning as well.
Great choices there, bud! I just rewatched Kiss of the Tarantula recently. haha
Hope all is well!
Susperia would be my favorite, right next to Tombs of the Blind Dead. (Evil Dead series goes without saying)
The original Susperia is easily in my top 3 of all time. I LOVE the movie...and that soundtrack! I just rewatched Tombs of the Blind Dead a few weeks ago! haha
The Thing (1982)
Event Horizon
Evil Dead 2
Love the video Tom.
You’re literally posting all of my Ts in order of necessity to rehouse the past few weeks. Get out of my brain 😂😂😂😂
I don’t do horror movies, being scared is not fun for me👍🏼
hahaha That's awesome, Rachelaleece!
The Scream series.... Corny moments and has the audience saying why did they go that way. Love the videos Tom. Keep it up!
Love that serious myself, Joel! My daughter's name is Sidney, too. haha
Babadook, The Shining and Killer Klowns from Outer Space 🤣
That is a very pretty spider, definitely on my want list
The Shining is probably my #1, and who doesn't love Killer Klowns! haha Great choices!
We watch all ur videos tom! Ur a great source of information and ive got my wife snd daughter watching a few of videos weekly. Were having alot fun with the hobby and ur a big part of that thank u! 24 T’s and counting taking it slow and enjoying watching them grow😁😁
Hello, Eric! That's so awesome! I wish that my kids were interested in them. haha
I love anything scary/horror. I love Lost Boys (not sure if that’s horror) and of course any Michael Meyers or Screams!
It sure is...I LOVE Lost Boys. And my daugher is named Sidney, so you know I love Scream. haha
1. Aliens 1+2 (Used to have nightmares as a kid due to them)
2. The Thing (also a movie that scared me as a kid)
3. Grudge ( That Asian movie)
Have many more favorites, so its impossible for me to rank them really.
It was probably one of the few that actually could creep me out as an adult 😅
"The Ring" did it a little bit too back when it came out tbh.
All good here.
Summer finally arrived here in the cold northen Europe 😃
Its a big thing, TRUST ME haha.
Hope all is good on your end of the pond too 👍
Yeah I have been thinking about adding this species to the ones that I am wanting to get. Now my 3 favorite horror movies are:
1) The Amityville Horror
2) The Exorcist
3) The Conjuring.
Great choices, Bryan!
Thanks so much, bud. They are awesome spiders. And Alien definitely counts!
Great videos! Not a big horror movie fan. Liked 13 ghosts when I watches it many, many years ago. I like B movies.
Was that the original 13 Ghosts or the remake from the 90s? I like both. haha
It was the one from the late 90's. I will have to check out the original one. Never saw it. Thanks.
Horror movies.....Happy he'll night (first movie to scare me)
The Entity. And for pure nostalgia the original IT.
Man, I didn't know that anyone else knew of Happy Hell Night! haha Love that movie! Great choices!
@@TomsBigSpidersthe "He has no arm" scene made me get up off the floor and onto my couch.
Great video as always Tom. I got a N. tripepii about the same size as the one you rehouse and it's a great spider. She is chill and as you say always visible.
My pick for the movies would be:
1. Alien
2. Event Horizont
Definetly one of the fluffiest T's in the Hobby 😍
Agreed, Mike! haha
Hi, great video as always. Your wife does great filming too! Have a great weekend 🌞🕷🌞😎
Thank you from both of us, TarantulaGooch!
Awesome viddy!!!
1.any Rob zombie film
2.saw
3. final destination
Great choices, Ben! House of 1000 Corpses is an all time fav of mine.
Rose red. Insidious. And stir of echoes
ROSE RED! YES! We have that on DVD and watch it at least once a year! What an overlooked classic!
Great choices there, Kelvin! I love all of them. I watched IT live when it was on back in the day. haha I'm old!
@@TomsBigSpiders I had it recorded on vhs off the TV. I must be old too.
Thats probably the hardest question you could ask me, since I watch a horror movie every night 4 or 5 days a week! So, I'll give you two lists. First is my Top 3 favorite well known horror movies:
3. The Taking of Deborah Logan (2014)
2. Bad Moon (1996)
1. Alien (1979)
And here's my Top 3 favorite more obscure horror flicks!
3. The Void (2016)
2. Antrum (2018)
Nightmare on Elm 1 and 2! Let's not leave out The Stuff and Maximum Overdrive.....Emiliooooooooooo!
I have to watch Maximum Overdrive with Billie, as I recently learned that she's never seen it. 😮
I always watch through the entire video so I guess I should participate.
Hey, Robert! We love found footage horror movies in the Moran household, so both The Blair Witch Project and Paranormal Activity are favs!
Not sure if all these necessarily qualify as horror movies, but I'm gonna go with:
1. The Shining
2. Silence of the Lambs
3. The Strangers
Awesome choices; The Shining would be my #1. The Strangers doesn't get the love that it deserves.
Great video Tom.
Not a Nhandu but my T ockerti finally threw her moult out for me today and I have a confirmed female, which O am very pleased at. My N tripepii is still a sling, probably around 1¼" now, steadily growing 😊
Horror movies, well, showing my age, but being a Gen X my all time favourite has to be Lost Boys.
Hello great video information Tom
Thanks so much, Moon! Hope all is well!
I impulsively picked up a new spider at a show recently, went for one of these as I'd never owned one and I'm excited to see it grow! they're really quite beautiful
Yeah, I have six of them at the moment, and they are awesome spiders! Congrats!
Odd coincidence! I bought a N. tripepii sling at an expo today.
Any-ho, of all time?
1) Evil Dead II
2) The Thing (1982)
3) The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)
4) Dawn of the Dead (1978)
5) Dead Alive
I could keep going, but that is enough. ;)
Man, great timing, Jeffrey!
And awesome choices! I've seen and love all 5!
Thanks again Tom and Billie for this great rehousing video.
I really can't name any, my wife is more in to horror movies. But I can say for sure that Finnish 🇫🇮 weather forecast for the summer gives me (+4 deg.celsius now and raining) goosebumps, so that's enough horror for me😂 greetings from 🇫🇮
Hello from the US! Thank you so much for watching. And no worries...I probably should have just said "top 3 movies" for non horror folks! haha
I’m more a fan of sci-fi like Predator or Alien. I do like the Conjuring movies, but I also like Pet Cemetery, Poltergeist, The Shining. Cujo was another good one.
I can't argue with any of those; all great movies. The Shining is probably my top favorite.
Gorgeousness! As always! 🕷🧡🧡🧡🕷
Thank you, Lisa!
Great video Tom I agree they are gorgeous I've got a female about 5.5 ' I agree a little skittish but bold aways out.does not kick much hair though.i would say a must have in anyone's collection.
Hello, James! They really are amazing spiders. Thanks for chiming in!
@@TomsBigSpiders oh thats news to me :D thx for info, been out of the game for too long
1. The Exorcist
2.nightmare on elm Street
3.28 days later
Love your vids Tom and I don't even keep spiders...but if I did it would be a p.regalis😅
Man, you're the second person that commented that they watch and don't have spiders. That's awesome!
And great choices!
House on haunted hill, 13 ghosts, the conjuring 😅 thanks for the great video!
The originals or the remakes? Billie and I saw both the remakes of House on Haunted Hill and 13 Ghosts at the theaters and watch both a few times every year. :) Great choices!
Okay so top 3 horror movies
1. Dawn of the dead
2. Evil dead
3. Event horizon
Love your videos Tom, I got into your videos about a year ago and I’m now working through your podcast while I commute to work on the bus.
Also, here's my list:
1. American Psycho
2. Silence of the Lambs
Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Night Mare on Elm Street 3, and Candyman the original one
Love all three...great choices!
Not keen on horror,,,,but I like the word horror- scope, and we love nhandu t one of my own favourites grown from a awesome mystery box
Hahaha Totally understand! And that's awesome!
1) An American Werewolf in London
2) The Thing (original and remake sorry to say)
3) Hellraiser
No favorite horror movies, not much of a fan really but I will watch them.
Now worries! Thanks for watching until the end!
They sure are beautiful T's
Thank you, Melanie!
I really love my Nhandu tripepii ❤ She has been a sweetheart. I think mine might have kicked hair once. I found out quickly that they are awesome to keep. And you are right.... my A. geniculata and tripepii are very similar in behavior.
1. Exorcist
2. It
3. Bram Stoker's Dracula
They just offer so much in terms of beauty and ease of care.
GREAT list! The original 90s It or the new one (I'm a 90s fan myself, but I loved the two new ones!).
@@TomsBigSpiders I loved all three. The newest IT was scary as hell...meaning that horrible clown!!
Tim Curry's Pennywise is iconic and you'd think it couldn't get any better than that, but the new Pennywise is definitely scarier. I'm not sure which one I love more lol
I absolutely love nhandus, what a treat to see yours!! Thanks for sharing them with us, I hope you’ll keep posting updates as they mature 🕷💕
I think nhandus might be my all time favourites for all the reasons you mentioned… a chromatus was one of my early T’s and her nickname was “little miss jump scare” because she never tackled her dinner from the direction I was expecting haha.
Congrats on your latest order, Mike!
The original IT, nightmare on elm street cant come up with a third but if its steven king i have almost all his novels in hard cover oh wait resident evil and underworld series’ are great as well
Great choices there!
Not much into "Horror" but I do like slashers. I've been into the Terrifier movies lately
Actual list at the moment:
You have great tastes! haha
And congrats on the molt!!!
Beautiful
THANK YOUUUUUUUU
Thank you, Mereyem!
@@TomsBigSpiders 🤗😘💞👍
🕷❤🕷❤️🕷❤️🕷❤️🕷❤️
havent watched much movies recently but my fav horror flix:
paranormal activity
the conjuring
evil dead
All great movies!
Not really a horror fan, but Silence of the Lambs is easily my favorite one.
Great choice!
The hills have eyes the original, as above so below, Jaws
I'm surprised that not many folks have listed The Hills Have Eyes. It's a classic! And Jaws probably scared me more than any other movie EVER. Great choices!
3. Event Horizon - 2. Army of Darkness - 1. Gremlins. Yeah, pretty tame, I know. I was never that big of a horror movie fan. I absolutey love H.P. Lovecraft, though.
Hey, I love all three...I'm not judging! hahaha And I'm a Lovecraft fan as well...you have great taste! haha Hope all is well, bud!
The Shining is probably my favorite. The Others is fantastic as well! And you can't go wrong with a Genic, Sharon! Thanks for chiming in!
Great video as always
Thank you, Chantal!
Gorgeous! Great video
Session 9 is my fave horror movie
Dude, Session 9 is one of my all-time favorites. Do it, Gordon... haha
Those are my top three
Hey, Scott! LOVE the Halloween movies myself (although, that last one...yikes! haha). And the Conjuring-verse is fantastic. :)
I can't argue with any of those...great choices! And thank you so much!
Mine runs full laps around the side of the enclosure before attacking its food.such a strange spider.
Hahaha What funny behavior!
The original "Alien," "Predator", "Jaws". The best B movie "Big Ass Spider ".
Great choices, Robin! Big Ass Spiders was a hoot!
No horror movies for me but I did watch to the end. 😅
No worries...thank you, Julie!
The Babadook, Hereditary, Shivers
Great choices, Eric! I still think that the sequence with the sister having the allergic reaction in Hereditary is one of the greatest horror scenes of all time.
@@TomsBigSpiders that whole film was filled with such palpable dread...and inevitability. Brilliant
I can't most horror, but I love a Quiet Place.
Hey, that's a great choice! That movie was fantastic...and so suspenseful!
*Se7en, Nightmare On Elm Street (Dream Warriors esp.), and Marty's.*
Love Rob Zombies Halloweens, 2nd is actually relatable as horrid as that sounds.
Jeeze...so many good ones. haha
Anyone who put Session 9 is good people as far as I'm concerned.
I just remember Sheri Moon Zombie on the horse, honestly. haha
The atmospher in Session 9 is FANTASTIC, as are the characters and acting. I also love that it nailed down what it's like to work on a crew that is doing dirty thankless jobs. I spent years at a marina doing fiberglass repair, and they absolutely nailed the relationships and tensions that arise between crew members!
Near Dark, Aliens (the second one), and The Hunger (not really horror). Not a huge horror guy though.
All three are great movies. I love the Near Dark has the cast from Aliens!
Hi Tom and Billie, hope you’re both doing great today.
The juvie was just sweet as can be “apart from a wee bit of hair flicking” at the beginning 😂 and “sklttish” at the end 😊
BUT, that adult female is to die for 💕🕷️I wouldn’t want to get on her bad side 😂😂
#1 Carrie
#2 Red Dragon
#3 Christine
Not scarily hardcore am I 😂
Take care and have a great week ahead 💙💕🕷️
Hey, those are great choices there! Yes, this one was very well behaved, and my adult female is one of the prettiest spiders I keep! Thank you!
Top 3 favorite horror films in no particular order:
1. Lake Mungo
2. Misery
Such a poignant story as well.
ok The Shining. not sure if this is horror exactly but Underworld. love that movie and House on Haunted Hill.. (1999) lol.
The Shining is probably my #1. And the Underworld series definitley counts. Great choices!
My top 3 horror movies are
1. Hellraiser (the original one for the beautiful practical effects)
2. Scream (again original, it’s just a fun movie to watch)
3. Insidious (I named my P. victori Insidious)
Love the name Insidious...that's awesome! My daughter, Sid, is named after Sidney in Scream. haha And the practical effects in Hellraiser STILL stand up!
Cabin in the woods, the nun, the exorcist
My top 3 favorite horror movies.
I just resently had my beautiful psalmopoeus pulcher hook out and i wanted another fuffy blond tarantula and i was on the fence for either another psalmopoeus, h mac, and the nhandu tripeii. I saw a big female tripeii and bought one right away.
She is super cute
All great choices! The tripepii is the ultimate blonde fluffball! haha Thanks!
Great video I was given a sling and it's "growing like a weed" as you like to say.
Can't argue with either of those franchises! And there's always next time, Jeff. :)
I went back and got the N tripepii 😍😍😍
I like the classics. 1) any of the Hellraiser series, especially the first 3. 2) Friday the 13th 3) Nightmare on Elm Street. What are your top 3?
I can't argue with any of those! Oh God...you are the FIRST person to ask me! haha I didn't give mine because I can't seem to settle on three. The Shining, Halloween, and Suspiria (the originals) would be my choice at the moment. haha
Rocky Horror Picture Show
Saw 1&2
House on Haunted Hill
This spider is on my top 3 list of ones I would like to get. There's this one, the Aphonapelma chalcodes , and the Chaco Golden Knee.❤
Great choices, Melody! And those are all great species!
