Musky and big Northern are fun fish hard fish to catch but fun. Especially if u hit a 40 plus Musky. If u hit canals and lakes in Florida u may catch a Chain Pickerel they are a smaller version of a Pike. I’ve caught a few. But for northern lake fishing in Midwest Musky fishing where it’s at. I’ve caught a few nice size cudas down there in Florida my PB was a 38inch cuda. Pb on musky 48 1/2 inches. If u get up north try Musky. I believe u have nice musky in Tennessee River and I know Kentucky lake holds some huge musky. Never fished there yet but it’s my bucket list.
@ For Musky we use either giant suckers for live bait or use lures big bulldawgs, big stick baits, or big spinners like Cowgirls or mepps musky killers is what I usually use. You’ll hook Northerns on those baits to. U may even pop a nice bass of smally on those big baits as well. For chain pickerel I’ve caught all mine on bass lures. Rapalas and crank baits. Nothing like throwing a huge bulldawg tho and hitting a nice 40 plus musky. Be ready for a sore shoulder and arm after a day of casting big baits lol. For barracuda I’ve caught them on shrimp and pin fish even hit one on a top water popper in Tampa area. I got a place in Ocala I fish Daytona a lot also fish in Clearwater Tarpon Springs area a lot. But I live full time in Chicago.
How my buddies and I fish musky we throw a sucker or two off the side of our boat and throw lures. Get a musky to follow but don’t eat the artificial they usually turn their attention to the live sucker then it’s on. Once they grab the sucker it’s like jaws man. Wait like shark fishing for the fish to grab it turn it in their mouth and start running off. Wait about 30 to 60 seconds before setting the hook. The musky sets the tone of the catch tbh. Nothing like it I assure u bro. Getting a musky to follow is just as exciting as hooking one. Fish of 10000 casts.
great video !!! looks like paradise, nice an sunny
It was!
That silver fish you cought was a Mohara. Not to bad to eat but make good cut bait.
