      How did fusion go?

    Old school L4, L5, and S1 posterior fusion with cadaver bone. I wanted to go home that night, but the surgeon talked me
    into waiting until the next morning. Prior to the procedure I had asked him the criteria for discharge. I had met
    those several hours after post op and pointed it out to him. Still, I agreed to wait.
    My incision was glued shut, not stapled or sutured.
    The surgery was well worth the risk. I still have back pain, but not near the previous levels nor sciatic related (leg, groin).

    Thank you for showing this video. I’m having the anterior version on Wednesday and I’m terrified of the aftermath pain.

    Good video. This surgeon is very switched on!
    Had Spinal fusion 6 weeks ago L5/S1. First 3 weeks made good progress but then came to a plateau of limited improvement. 6 weeks out and still need pain killers and occasionally get sciatica down my left leg! Apparently the nerve needs time to settle down! I hope this is the case. At this point in time, if you have long term sciatica nerve pain then I would NOT put off surgery? My overall mobility is much better! I tried everything! Even £1000.00 on a course on a stretching machine. ....It doesn't fix the issue! Listen and learn!

    Love this great info. I am meeting with my Dr soon hoping next week or this weekend if he can get me in to go over my MRI. He at first wanted to try injections just by going off of xray, saying it was arthritic. After my MRI it is clearly more than what we though. Do I have an option of going straight for surgery? Or do what he says? Been in pain for five years severe and accident happened in 2002.

    I'm having this surgery October 26th. Thank you for explaining it for me. I'm really nervous about having it. And you helped calm my nerves.

      You just did the worst thing of your life by fusing your back up what’s wrong with you man ???

    • @devinramdihal8149
      @devinramdihal8149 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@markusgarcia4136 You don’t ever wanna fused the back . if I fuse your knee how would u have mobility ?
      When you no longer have functionality of the spine by fusing it up . you’re literally fucked . Because then you will have poor lack of mobility flexibility and rotation in all other joints in the body ;
      everything has an effect due to fusion .the fused spine is very dangerous. It’s literally a slow death to the person health
      That’s what these corrupt doctors don’t talk about.
