@@tesbros thanks. We got it. We didn’t even have time to go to the checklist. But team of four checked outside and inside, it’s almost flawless! One small thing so far, while playing with the app, windows ventilation, the passenger side window doesn’t vent, the other three vent and close nicely, something not sure if we even want it fix. I have a model S myself, but this highland is actually more fun! For everyone’s info, the car was built this month 09/2024, we just happened to order it on 09/01/2024, it took 15 days to build and delivery, incredible. Delivery rep told us it was built in Austin according to the VIN, but the paper says it’s from Fremont. Not it matters, but for ref info; we’re in southern CA, so Fremont makes Moẻ sense.
Thank you for making this as this is literally for me 😅. Yesterday I was notified that my VIN was assigned for my M3 LR stealth grey black interior 🎉🎉. It's EST delivery is next week!! Can't wait super stoked first EV. Can't wait to be in the Tesla family 🤗
Picking up mine in a week. Thanks for this video. Any suggestions from anyone on any additional checks. Also, I read somewhere that you get the keys only after completing the paperwork and accepting the vehicle. That means I can only do external checks and wait for the internal checks. Is that true? Thanks.
Great point! Most Tesla service centers are like that now. After you've done your external checks and received the key cards, you can do a thorough internal check. Make sure to take your time testing everything and ensuring you have the correct floor mats and accessories. I recommend writing down everything and immediately submitting a service request through the app before driving off so they can fix it under warranty. If it's something really simple, they may can even help you before you leave.
In exactly 7 days I will be using your checklist. I am trading in my 2019 Model 3 LR for this LR AWD 2024. Not that I am new to Tesla, but I may forget to check something, so having a list it is organizing your delivery day much better.
Thank you !@@tesbros Same to you for both Tesla's ! - Have you heard anything from Tesla they may avoid warranty if owners are tinting the glasses? They claim that some water can go inside the door panels and avoid warranty. Or some installers are removing the door panels and that it something that Tesla can avoid warranty. I never had any issues with my cars ... but this could be an issue if Tesla is looking for reasons to avoid repairs.
Well, there's not really a reason to remove the door panels, so make sure they aren't doing that. I would check around and see who has the best reviews tinting teslas and go from there
Congrat on the new car! Just wondering my MY start showing an airbag indentation on the dash! From your experience is that normal?Don’t think it was there when I pick it up! Thanks!

I took delivery of my 24 M3 about 3 weeks ago, make sure to also check the door hinges !! I opted for the ultra red paint and I completely forgot to check there and behold there was a lack of paint in the door hinge area near the driver. I luckily had one of my family members who has a body shop fix it for me as it was really bothering me, but I still find it ridiculous that I am paying an extra 2k and they still have these paint issues
Congrats…. 👍🏾 Is the front & rear bumpers wider than the old model 3? You can negotiate the charger with Tesla now. Including mats. Several buyers said Tesla finally caved with both items (at least in the US). Mainly bc it’s end of quarter.
They are both very different in size and function. I love the new model 3; They have improved a ton with the refresh. And it’s nice to have FSD with that one. But I mean right now I have to say the Cybertruck is my favorite. It’s kind of surreal having the first in Tennessee tbh!

Do you do this check before you take the car? I’m guessing a thorough check is 20 - 30 minutes. Do the salesman get pushy for you to finish? I am picking mine up in 6 days and the sales people so far tend to have an attitude. I feel if I want to spend this much time checking everything over they would tell me to take it home and call service if I have a problem. How would you deal with that if it happened?
@@WaltFerar-b6g lately you don’t even see someone. You go through the process through the app and it will help you find your car. Then you can spend as long as you want and then you can go inside. It’s different than a dealership since no one there is really selling like a traditional dealership. You should be good ! Good luck!
Great question! Yes, you should. When using the manual emergency door release, it bypasses the automatic window lowering feature. By rolling the window down first, you prevent the risk of damaging anything.
The only thing that I hate is that you can’t check for interior rattles or creaks and squeaks until you take delivery of the car and by that time your screwed if it has any. I took delivery of my new 2022 Model Y last year and some interior rattles and noises that annoy the hell out of me that the service center can’t fix. I’m to the point I want to sell the damn thing! I would never have accepted the car had I known! Does the Highland have any interior noises that you notice?
@@lilgshock07 this was our first lease. But we’ve owned 7 teslas since we need it for R&D and content so it made sense for us in the business case since we go through cars so often. This might not be the case for everyone though. So far though the lease process was very simple.
@@tesbros Got it. Would u recommend leasing ur 1st Tesla or buying it?, also do ur site have screen protectors for the new model 3 front and rear screens?
@@lilgshock07 yes it’s arriving this week! It depends. If you plan on keeping it for long, buy it and get the tax credit. If you don’t drive a lot, then lease isn’t a bad option. We plan on putting less than 5k a year on the 3 since I’m driving the cybertruck mainly which we purchase not leases.
