- Another episode on the Hifdhstatus podcast. In this one we’re joined with Shaykh Jamal Abdinasir. Shaykh Jamal Abdinasir was born and raised in the UK, the country in which he also completed the memorisation of the Qur’ān by the age of 13.
Shaykh Jamal began studying under the tutelage of Shaykh AbdirRashid Ali Sufi in 2010 and continues to study with him today. He currently holds Ijāzah in the Ten Qirā’āt from the Sheikh.
Shaykh Jamal plays a pivotal role in Qur’ānic Da’wah in the West providing various courses and programmes in the UK. The Sheikh has also completed sciences in the Arabic Language and various studies in Ulūm al-Qur’ān.

I am normally not someone who comments under videos but I just wanted to say how much I’ve been benefiting from this podcast. I’ve been on my journey with the Quran past 2 years. This podcast has been that little push for me on days when I feel down. It shows me that one day I will be in their position to reflect on my journey بإ ذ ن لله.
I am from Australia so the podcast is reaching us too Alhamdulilah.
Please keep me in your Duas that Allah makes me among the Ahlul Quran and grants me the tawfiq to memorise it.

I went to Somalia recently and I was amazed how almost everyone is hafidh. The taxi driver, the shopkeeper the guy who sells grocery. Unlike here in the West where hufadhs can be counted . I was like how do they do that!

I get what the sheikh said about online classes, there is less tarbiyah than learning from a teacher in person. However if you don’t have easy access to a mutqin near you I think it’s still good. A sheikh is hearing you and correcting your recitation even if it is through the internet

Salamu alaikum, may I ask in wich Surah / Aya praises Allah the people that are allone? (51:30)
A good way of looking at the different Qira'āt is like Salah. 1 way of praying is standing up, another way of praying if you're unable to stand up, is sitting down. 2 different ways of praying but both are counted as Salah.

That’s not the best example, because your prayer is not accepted sitting for the one who is able to stand, would be more appropriate to compared them to accents or styles in which people speak. Like UK English vs California English
Yeah not sure about that since sitting down and praying is inherently worse and gets you only half the reward. But no qira’ah is worse than another

He's a young kid, that's like fitna next level. Maybe if sisters started something similar and bought on sisters that would be much more appropriate insha allah. Just my opinion 😊
