  • FORSAND/SANDNES: This hike is a bit of a gem. It ends at the lake Indravatnet, which is surrounded by steep mountains and vertical waterfalls. The trail up there goes through the adventurous valley Røssdalen. Here you will first find a great area for wild camping, before you continue through areas with great plant diversity and Norwegian primeval forest. Before you reach your destination at Indravatn, you have to climb over huge rocks through a scree called Aslaksreset.
This is a landscape protection area where you must show extra respect for animal and plant life. For example, it is not allowed to fly here with a drone without special permission.
    English subtitles available.
When we did the same trip in April 2018, there was greater water flow in the rivers and waterfalls after the snowmelt:

That forest reminds me of a fairytale! And the lake could be a sister to NZ lakes! Was it peaceful?

Yes, this is a peaceful place. Especially at the innermost lake, because it's a bit of a struggle to get through the scree of rocks to get there. Most people stop near the grassy areas by the first lake.
We have been here several times. In spring, there is more water flow in the rivers and waterfalls, which perhaps makes the experience even greater.
When I watch your videos it is not difficult to understand why you think it reminds of NZ.
