Hand Spinning Different Breeds: Jacob Wool Profile

Hand spinning Jacob wool is possibly one of the nicest things you can do. And that's not much of an exaggeration- it's a very balanced and easy wool to worth with that seems to almost want to be spun and used. As a bonus its also readily available, tends to be very cheap and is not too course to be used for clothing. Overall this is one of my favourite wools and one i return to time and time again.

I’ve just got 200g of Jacob for spinning (only a small amount as I spin on drop spindles) and I have to say it spins like butter - so smooth, so consistent with very little attention on my part! Not sure what I’m going to make with it yet, but I’m really looking forward to it.
