Until a few heat and cold cycles make them shift and ending up with an uneven floor. Bad idea.

powerfull cranes and thats really elegant and quick,, laying these plates with vaccum! would be interesting to see this ground after 2 years in use with heavy machines and weather on it(heat and cold..) and one crane operator who has the opinion, that a crane does not need props...does he fear pessing one plate into the ground?

It's faster because in the first run he can unload a whole pile of plates by using the crane supports. In the second run he can distribute them without slewing too much and so supporting ist not nessecary.
