@@jebusthecollector I think the spelling helps. Gem doesn't use knights, and I don't think he implies knights. I would argue this is not copying. Especially with a logo or emoji that has a knight spin to it.
Way better than the new Predator 1 maquette.. but the paint app especially in the forehead should have been more organic and natural.. yep the paint app is a little bit toyish and inaccurate but I have seen amazing repaints in the Statue Groups

Funny you asked that question. I just got my Sideshow Psylocke X-Force variant replacement. I was satisfied with the EX version I had which not many people like. There was a cool surprise when I opened the box. Not only is the paint 10/10 on the replacement but they also included a paint matched psyblade switchout arm! 😁 I'm pretty sure they didn't come with those originally.
I'm not too keen on the paint application here....could have done a better job of layering/texturing....looks very one dimensional...a little sheen might have helped as well. Still very cool...but it shows it's age. If you take it for what it is it's still a nice piece.
Just looked up the wall art piece that you are getting. That’s awesome compared to the old sideshow. I love it and the fact that you can mount to the wall. Sweet feature, might have to pickup one

I too have the new P1 City Predator EX on preorder (as well as the Big Game Hunter with Victim Tree). It’s wall mounted but it can be table displayed as well. The Infinity Studios looks nice, but the helmet is not as accurate as the P1 statue...plus its rock wall is not as cool as the P1 Eagle building column. Great choice! On your question of what piece we like and others don’t think is that great, I’d have to say the Sideshow Wolf Predator Legendary Bust. Many hate the PVC head. But while I wished myself it was polystone, the sculpt is so boss, one of the best Wolf Predator sculpts our there...that I simply love owning it...plus I only paid half it’s retail price, so I’m a happy camper. P.S. Huge issue with this Predator (and the Jungle Hunter) are the fused mandibles (chin area), it should have separation. There are customizers who will nicely separate that part.
I haven't had any dislikes of my collection. And even though I agree with you on the paint on your Predator, I don't dislike it. The skin evokes a bit too much chicken on the grill for the solid X-Factor, but you could probably splatter pink polka-dots or splatter Skittles on it and it would still be rowdy. It's the Predator. Cool.
My 2nd favorite Predator movie next to the Arnold Predator 1987. What I like about this Predator is that it has predator disk, the spear, The net, claw, and a sharp fork. So many weapons, made the opportunity for the AVP movie, but Still okay for me. I have a friend he collects NECA predators.

Agree! The Predator Species is definitely a badass character for all time. So much potential between them and the Alien Xenomorphs if done correctly! Cool statue. GOD Bless Brother!
I have this one. I too wish the mandibles were open. I had a couple of breakage with mine. But sideshow replaced the damage. But I do think they cut corners on some detail. I feel like their rushing them out. Unfortunately I don't have you bank account so because I live in Canada the US dollar is worth more then Canada's so I buy one once a year
Maquette doesn't mean 'none scale'. A maquette is a model for a larger piece of sculpture, created in order to visualise how it might look and to work out approaches and materials for how it might be made. It's a preliminary 'sketch'. Sideshow use the term maquette incorrectly, they use the term purely as a money grab! This is a pretty cool piece but I've yet to see a rival to the XM Predator Supreme scale statue, the best Predator staue on the market!
Up to this point I cant think of any that I have that I really like that other people would not. But that is quite subjective as well. I definitely have one that I'm not a huge fan of that other people may really like but anyone that likes the game series would like it regardless.

There's definitely some misses on this piece with paint and some of the plastic but the head sculpt and base looked good
