I have not tried this so is more of a question than statement. Would a doulble wrap around the second S binner with the tag end not hold the line like it does on the other side of thr S binner? If it would hold with a second wrap you wouldnt need the hitch knot?

@user-yx2ff3mv2q I think you still need the hitch knot, because with out it there is no tension on that end.

@NCPiedmontOutdoors there is, the line is trying to pull back around the tree? Maybe I am not explaining what I mean. I will try what I am talking about myself and I will let you know if it works , or not, you might be right but I would think if a double wrap around the S binner works one way it should work the other way. I will see if I can try this today and I will get back to you.

@NCPiedmontOutdoors you're right. I haven't set up a ridge line for a while. I tried that and it did catch but I was able to pull it and it came free. I am using the orange survival paracord and it is very slippery. Bank line might grip better but with out the hitch you can still pull it free. The second wrap doesn't hurt but with these micro S binners it's tricky enough. I set up again with the toogle's, one sliding on the main ridge line and the other one through a marlin hitch. Very simple and straightforward and nor do I need S binners. Toogle's are easily made from what's laying around. I carry a dozen of them anyway. Somethings don't need fixed lol
      Take care.
