Artur Müller I think that piece is one of the best of the game, basically cause of the girl's voice. I've also been trying to find the name of the track (of all of them actually) but can't find them.
The funny thing is, it doesn't even play in Velen. It plays in the Redania section of the map at night. Also, does anyone catch those Gaunter O'Dimm theme notes in the piece?
Obviously Oblivion is the best RPG of all time since it has the best npc AI ever done in human history. Witcher 3 comes as close second though - really solid RPG as well. Almost as amazing as Oblivion.
Velen remind me my place - Leningrad Oblast - swampy, gloomy place with ancient ruins and human bones coming from earth sometimes, lots of old villages (some dating from 10th century), often abandoned. There is still exist some ancient pagan shrines, sacrifice boulders for example.
I came across 11:30 - 14:17 while playing w3 in the middle of the night. Had to pause the game, it was so haunting and beautiful, especially with the moon hanging out of my window
I played this game for the first time in December of 2019 because before that I didn‘t have a PC good enough to run the game... but damn only 9 months have passed and the music makes me feel so nostalgic already! You just *have to* love this masterpiece of a video game
The theme starting from 00:00 (and 25:15) is just synonymous with Velen for me, riding Roach through the night with the wind howling and battering the trees. The theme from 22:27 reminds me of areas north of Oxenfurt and the Inns at the Crossroad, I remember doing the Hearts of Stone DLC with it playing all the time.
I wish I could go back in time and play this masterpiece again for the first time. I was in such a dark place but man did this game make me feel immersed
That's like the most signature track of all of Velen. It's as sad, dark and ancient as No Man's Land itself. Hauntingly beautiful and touchingly sad. A masterpiece, ladies and gentlemen. *A maesterhpieec!*
such an amazing game, listening to this brings back so many amazing memories. i got this game on release, which was also around the same time i was finishing school, so i had so much time to play it and it was probably one of the greatest times of my life. all of the music in the game is absolutely fantastic, but this music in particular takes me right back to 2015. i literally feel the same feelings i felt back then when i listen to this, thank you so much for uploading
Ja to czytałem na własną rękę, nie jako lekturę. Jak coś się czyta bo trzeba, to to niszczy książkę jak dobra by nie była. Z wyjątkiem Zbrodni i Kary ;D
Play the theme that starts at 28:17 alongside the fight scene in Witcher 1 starting cinematic when Geralt was fighting the beast/transformed princess. Awesome.
well, I tried to do that and make a little video out of it but i ran out of disk space. I uploaded just the audio file though. You can download it here (if youtube doesn't delete it): www.mediafire.com/?un6l31pg9xlwdsv
thank you, i was looking forward that part too. I remeber that I smoke pot and playing this game at midnight, and that part of the song makes me feel I dont know... sort of mystical
Not so much... All those soundtracks fit so properly with the area they are played... A skellige one in Velen will sound weird... Desolation is IMO the best word to describe Velen and those songs are so perfect for giving us this feeling
Velen is a rude and filthy war torn wasteland. I imagine this kind of music playing if you were to be traveling through the war torn country sides of the American Civil War or through rural France during the Second World War. With that said though, it is very relaxing music and has that calm before the storm vibe to it.
Anyone know the sad strings music that plays sometimes in Velen? For example it plays on the quest where you help a guy find his brother on a battlefield (Missing in action).
When I see No Man's Land sentence and hear this music. It takes me back 8 years ago. There was a place I would call a No Man's Land. If you were allowed to go there. At the bus station there is a paper you need to sign. After that there is a military road block. They will ask you questions especially if you are a guy. After that you are there. But describing the place word by word I think need a book.
+Kaan Dogru It's so damn hard to describe it in just one comment. It's both in general creepy and super interesting place. This place is between Israel and Syria that was along time ago.
This Velen music strangely reminds me of Keira Metz... Most amazing fact is that Velen has so many memories for everyone. It is the land of memories of so many gamers...

28:17 - 31:07 Recurrent Key Velen Fields Theme
THE BEST ONE !
The best one ever!
It's called ''The Hunter's Path'' on the official soundtrack for anyone wondering.
22:50 is when the Lass starts singing. Have been looking for this part. Love the themes in w3
Artur Müller any idea what the name of that track? been looking for it for a while...
Artur Müller this one and ard skillige is my two favorite non-combat tracks in the game :)
lixMxil24 Unfortunately I cant find this part as a seperate track. there are the W3 "Full" Playlists on youtube wich do not include many tracks.
Artur Müller I think that piece is one of the best of the game, basically cause of the girl's voice. I've also been trying to find the name of the track (of all of them actually) but can't find them.
Artur Müller Me too. In my opinion it is one of the greatest songs in W3!
25:15 - 28:16 - captures Velen perfectly in my opinion.
One of the most atmospheric pieces in the Witcher series.
Really wish I could find the name of that piece, because it's one of my favorites in the game.
The funny thing is, it doesn't even play in Velen. It plays in the Redania section of the map at night.
Also, does anyone catch those Gaunter O'Dimm theme notes in the piece?
@@freddirak3033 Yeah, especially in the spoon quest [La Cage au Fou
.]
@@freddirak3033 it started in wild hunt....then the expansion added alternatives of this theme to kick in the intensity of the background ambience
I’m here for 8:43. That melody lives in my head, rent free. I love it
You and me both, there is actually a sinister version of it as well.
Nothing brings back memories like Velen tracks.
2:57 - 5:51 is fucking incredible. One of the most amazing pieces of music I've ever heard in my life.
Is that instrument a digeridoo? At about 3:15?
@@captaincrum1 sounds just like one
I always hear drowner sound in my head every time I heard velen soundtrack.
28:17 - that completely does it for me. The beauty in the despair. Beautifully haunting track that perfectly embodies Velen.
Anyone else think this is hands down one of the best RPGs of all-time, or is that just me?
I'm with you on that one.
Besides the GOTY award and the top Metacritic score, then, yeah, just you.
Thanks, wiseguy
William Freire lol

28:17 - 31:07 is called "The Hunter's Path", and it's available on the The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Official Soundtrack; it's track #14.

Novigrad - Novgorod - New City - is located nearby too.
так и есть!
That actually sounds like an interesting place... Is it "tourist-friendly"?
Depends on what you understand on "tourist-friendly" :)
In common sense its safe and okay for tourists, but don't expect 5* hotels and other stuff.
Wow!
I came across 11:30 - 14:17 while playing w3 in the middle of the night. Had to pause the game, it was so haunting and beautiful, especially with the moon hanging out of my window
28:17 my favourite track. every time it came on I felt so immersed; like I was truly a part of this dramatic fantasy world hahaha

i had a pc but played from the first game. it was worth it. might redo another playthrough
22:27 been looking everywhere for this...
Always that voice in my head telling me to start all over whenever I hear about the witcher 3 even though I know the whole story and beaten it twice.
Kou Her Same thing for me
Kou Her I've beaten it 4 times ayy
My favorite part starts at 22:27
damn thats also my favorite :) thanks for the time!
Mariya Dimitrova Actually, that track isn't played in Velen. It's from the Novigrad outskirts/fields.
davidshort3266 DUDE. THANKS FOR TIMESTAMP. My favorite Velen/Novigrad track as well.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt OST (Unreleased Tracks) - Outskirts of Novigrad
I loved that theme, as well as the haunting melodies in Velen and the Vagabond which added so much to the atmosphere.
25:16 omg the creepiness
It’s close to Gaunter O’Dimm’s theme
@@ljjoonghost it actually has a part of gaunters theme
There's something so cruel and unsettling about velen even in the soundtrack I love it so much
The most horrible thing, is that the world does not know about this beauty.

So sad but so beautiful.
Nothing ever beats the feeling of playing this game for the first time. I miss it SO much! :/

One of the best soundtraks . Thanks for the upload.

when I play the game, in some regions, there's almost like a mix of the vagabond variation and the original... anyone else heard it?
yes ive been searching for days but cant seem to find it
25:25. Yes i finally found the song i was looking for. I love how sad it sounds.
8:44 to 11:30 The Vagabond captures that feeling of wondering No Man's Land.
8:45 best track in game for me
Love Velen! Love The Witcher 3.
My fav part is only 10 seconds 1:30 , which is full of sadness and emptyness after you end the game.
Play the theme that starts at 28:17 alongside the fight scene in Witcher 1 starting cinematic when Geralt was fighting the beast/transformed princess. Awesome.
Vagabond on 08:49 and after is like a deja vu for Witcher 1. Lovely.

the strange vagabond music
29:18 pure magic 😍💓
