Hello Dr Kalu. Thank you for this video very insightful. I would like to ask if the dual certification of Public health training and GP training concurrently is a must. Is it possible to do public health training only without the GP? kindly to more light on this. Thank you.
@@bukunadeadenusi2469 thanks for your question. Yes, you can do Public Health Training alone, however there's also an option to train as a GP and Public Health Consultant, although not many slots.
Hello, please what materials did you use for preparing for DFPH and MFPH membership exams? Are there any websites or study groups for exam preparations, etc? Any suggestions would be appreciated
@@diplomatdiplomat2800 most colleagues prepare DFPH with Mastering Public Health. You can order your copy from Amazon. There are also registrar networks that support candidates preparing for DFPH and MFPH. Hope this helps.
Great job Dr Kalu. Can anyone apply for the ST1 post regardless of the years one has spent in residency training in Public health from one’s country? Also can one get higher training post like ST3 which is applicable to other specialties in the Uk. Thank you
@@Peter-p7b thanks for asking. Yes you usually would apply for ST1 post in Public health. Upgrading to a higher level is done within the deanery depending on a number factors such having completed MPH, DFPH etc. However, my experience is that it would be best to start from ST1 particularly if your experience of Public health is outside of the UK. Hope this helps.

Hi Doc, thank you for this. Please i want to ask that if someone applies for public health speciality training and be sponsored, i mean in term of COS (work visa). Thank you.
Thank you so much doc. I don't know if I could contact you privately but I am really interested in the speciality training. I'm a non-medic working in the UK already. I also have public health experience and masters from Nigeria. Thank you in advance

@@hafsatmohammedahmed Yes it is different from MSRA. The Assessment Centre tests are Situational Judgement Test, RANRA and Watson Glaser test. I have included job test prep link within the description which you may use to prepare for the assessment centre. It is a paid subscription though. Hope this has helped.
