I was involved in a short lived Ted Lucas restoration project over 20 years ago. I can’t tell you how many months I spent listening to this music and scanning and restoring photographs. Hearing this again certainly brought back memories. Thanks for the upload.
hello . . . i'm the Spike singing the lead melody on this, with Ted Lucas' (RIP) smoky voice harmonizing on the chorus, and MaryCarol's voice on top . . . the first jangly guitar solo by Sid Brown (RIP) morphing into Ted's single-note solo . . . i'm playing the bass, Steve Booker (now known as 'Maruga') on percussion. thanks for this trip into my past ... the audio work on this is amazingly clear and clean; well done ! (i am occasionally still in touch with MaryCarol, who lives out in Oregon...)
Hi Richard, thanks for your very nice comment -- and of course thanks also for the great music. Sending much love & good vibes from Europe! P.S. I also worked on your first Perth County Conspiracy LP, an all-time favorite for me: th-cam.com/video/sRtGCvOM3Zo/w-d-xo.html [and, Sid's "Modality Stew," too... :) ]
