Designer clothes on vinted is amazing. I've never had so many nice designer clothes but I've not increased my spending on clothes at all. Every time I go to a shopping centre looking at clothes now I wonder why I would be so stupid paying full price for stuff like jackets, bags etc
this should be a life style for ALL OF US! I am 100% second hand not just because it is less expensive but also because seeing lanes of the same clothes in shopping centres just bores me to death. I so much love the treasures I find in charity shops or second hand shops that even if I was the richest person on the world, I would not change that for anything in the world. Still buy my underwear in shops though ;)
The trouble with second hand is that in the poorer areas in particular, second hand or charity shop items, clothes in particular tend to be very poor in quality, worn, stained etc etc, with a lot of items just as expensive as new items. So it’s no cheaper for the poorest who are really in need.
I've been shopping second hand thrift stores garage sales for many years nothing wrong with that. I no longer buy new clothing except the personal stuff and I try buying used whenever I can before purchasing new.

Perhaps, 90% of what we own is second hand ❤ I am extremely proud that I became aware of "charity shops" since 1998, it has unable me to save where I could ❤ Being clever with your "money" is a skill, being resourceful too ❤
Well done 👍. I've been buying second hand goods for about 15 years. I find older products better made than newer ones. I got a Tefal kettle (made in 1998)for £4.50 from the charity shop 8 years ago that still works now.
@@keithmartin1328 I take pride of being "resourceful" ❤️ second hand is becoming "trendy" because whether it is clothes , furniture or even jewelry the quality is incomparable :-)
@@savingsavioursinvestments I have to admit I love original 1970s fashion. I have flared trousers, leather jackets, jumpers that I have got from charity shops or online. The oldest item I have, using it daily, is a butter knife made in 1910.
We get lots of free second hand things during the year through swaps, unsell, BN, so Christmas gifts are new. Giving another used thing seems overboard.
My dog left a warm brown present in my immigrant neighbors front garden this morning, I go out to work to pay for them to sit about all day and they don't celebrate christmas. Tis the season.
Good for her all the way and MORE..........xmas goes on for way too long............God by the time xmas/eve/day comes I,ve had "Enough"...............its a money making crock of "Sh.t".................
Sometimes it's best to just buy no gifts instead of just buying something for the sake of it
I will buy something from the charity shops myself but I won't give one to anyone else

Oxfam have a on line shop with some designer brands as well as new things.
Stop spending, so much waste and greed all over the world!!!
We have 5 charity shops in my town, always the most busy shops in the street

Buying gift card is the best
Second hand should become first. We have too many things and we will be helping the environment in the long run.
The headline promotes " The Cost of Living".
Used item can be expensive after a while.. Because of the quality of the product. That as been used...

Britain needs vast Very Top Down Change!!! Cost of Living Crisis whilst them at the top live off the Taxpayers!!!!!
Brave woman
Cutting down trees for Xmas isn’t very sustainable, but I applaud the principle of gifting pre loved items.
I'm glad preloved and vintage is getting recognition, one of my favorite stores Kalamazoo Vintage is the best.
Cristmas about give not taken spend with family
It's cheaper to buy brand new trying to get more then the thing is worth in charity shops these days

The charity shops where I live sell used items for more than original cost of buying new .
When made aware they just shrug n say it’s how it is .
Happy wishes dear Christians ... enjoy your day❤👍✨
It will be working people, not people on benefits.
the working people are working at shops where no one is going then the charity shops selling all this are getting people work for nothing
nonsense
@ How is it nonsense?
