The Balionis interview at the end is the best part. Seeing DJ get emotional, wearing the green jacket on the 18th green, is one of the best things I've ever seen in golf.
What they should have done was allow in the patrons and spaced all the chairs exactly 6 feet, and put feet markers every 6 feet for those standing. And had the yellow hat Augusta officials running around yelling enforcement commands at everyone. And should have had all players, caddies, and broadcasters wear a mask at all times. Did I forget anything?

Bernhard Langer is amazing - really, this course should play as a par 78 for him with his length of 250 of the tee. Holes 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, and 18 are all par 4's that are over 450 in length - that means he is hitting 200 or more yards into those greens. My guess is he hits his 3 wood about 230, so maybe he is hitting a 5 wood or long hybrid into these holes. Hope I can still walk a golf course at his age!

Indeed, what a tourney to finish -3. But Langer has been a major and regular tournament winner on the senior tour for years. Won the Senior Open the year before. His game is still very sharp and his body and mind as well. And of course, he knows Augusta golf course as well as anyone.
The Masters, maybe the last class act in existence. I look forward to the tournament all year, not just for the golf but for the chance to pretend that the rest of the world is as civilized and well-run as this organization. Always too fleeting of course.

There are no rules regarding that. DJ had inches to the hole and was right in Sung-Jae Im’s line. 100 times out of 100 DJ or anyone else would’ve finished out right there. Plus getting out of Sung-Jae’s way allowed Sung-Jae to focus on his own putt with no pressure.
Why did the screen go black, so much for masters coverage. Maybe an edit is in order. Take out the black screen and put in a picture of Augusta National. Just a thought.

Masters 2022 could be the first major tournament did not used cut down system, as it will allowed 144 players to participate all four rounds. It will be the first major tournament to limit the age to 50 and the first to give medal. If there are more than two golfers who had tie for second or third or first will used play-off system
I'll never understand why the grass isn't cut to a length where players can hit into the "rough" and not have to pick it up and re-drop it...why even bother having that long grass if players can't hit out of it?
