A teacher-centered classroom is one focused primarily on the instructor and their content while a student-centered classroom is focused on the what the students need to learn, why they need to learn it, and how they are going to do so. Student-centered classrooms are more beneficial to the learning of the student where they learn by doing, are allowed to communicate, and research for themselves among other things. Overall, more control needs to be given to the students. This is true no matter the age of the student. End video at 7:05.
    Key Points
Student-centered classrooms allow for more learning for the students
Giving the student more control helps them to teach themselves with instructor guidance
Instructors often teach in the way they were taught which is usually teacher-centered

Thank you for sharing this video. I am quite interested in how a teacher can get students to work 'at their own pace'. Is this possible considering most education systems have restricted lesson durations?

actually it's impossible, but you'll never get a practicing teaching/policy maker to admit that. If you can get a retired professional to talk, they'll give you 100% real low down on how this Great Idea has not worked for the majority of students, and why education is STILL in crisis.

It is very important to keep your students motivated and find their passions, talents and continue the quest for personal growth in all aspects of their lives. Take a look at what the students and parents had to say: th-cam.com/video/K4Z8GnEl8kA/w-d-xo.html
