And, still bristle when I encounter a Black Supremacist...but....thanks, Latimore. That 'groove' is undeniable. And, problems w/ love and reconciliation...universal. Maybe...just maybe, it's true: music unites?
I heard this song the other day and it took me right back. I toured as FOH audio engineer on The Allstars of Blues in '96. Latimore was one of five acts. He tied with Clarence Carter as my favorites among the five. I also remember the players in Latimore's band as being among the kindest, nicest people on the tour. Really happy to see he's still at it.
I had the pleasure of seeing Latimore in concert a few years ago in Miami, Florida at a blues concert. I love all of Latimore's music and yes he's still great !
He did a real soulful performance of this classic song. I can say it's the best version I have ever heard by Latimore You felt his every word he expressed to a nosily group at first he quite them down with total soul made them enjoy his performance. He branded them well in soul music.
I've seen the silver fox several times and he never disappoints me. I saw him in Dallas years ago and he played the music for Let's straighten it out for what seemed like 3 full minutes before he started singing and it was just amazing. Then he started singing and it was even better. Keep it up it's all good.

Great song by a truly great artist! Is this show available on DVD? If not, I hope it will be released soon... I'd love to add it to my collection, and I know I'm not the only one who would buy it. Real soul singers like Latimore deserve to be recognized, especially in today's world... we need more quality music like this, straight from the heart.
