YVONNE! Your tips in this video have saved so many of my jerseys, and I point friends to this for tips on keeping their stuff looking good. Thank you for this video.
Dude, you have a winner here. She's beautiful and supportive. Your divorce a few years ago was an opportunity for a new experience. Lol, the closet shit at the end was classic.
Help! I have been trying to find how to fix my NHL jersey . The Adidas badge below the waistline and the nhl shield on the neckline have become unattached. Can I iron them back on and the glue will reset? I have done lots of research and all I can find are articles on fake vs real jerseys
@@TheHockeyGuy I never dried it which is weird I Always hang dry. I bought a Flames jersey used online and after the 2nd wash it was fading. Maybe the previous owner did.
annual ey? I got a new jersey from the team store and there's a broad black (puck) mark across the nameplate. Thoughts on approach to cleaning it off? EDIT: 18:15 that bleach baking soda mx that you use for stains on white, have you tried doing it on lettering or nameplates?
My girlfriend uses her sewing machine to zig zag stitch any of my jerseys with heat pressed crests or numbers or anything heat pressed for that matter. Shes really good so the quality is just as good as reebok. So if i purchase a premier the crest is stitched as well as any Edge I own. You can get a used machine cheap and teach yourselves to zig zag stitch. Well worth the time and effort. And it gives you the opportunity to really upgrade your premiers with double stitching. Before I knew not to put the jersey in the dryer, I did put one in unfortunately. Now the jersey's logo and numbers are wavy-like, how would I fix that?
TRIX Cobra that is a more tricky fix and I have had to do that on a few of Shannon's Jerseys. the problem is there are different layers of fabric under the logo so they can shrink at different rates or come loose. First step, try ironing it. make sure you have either a piece of paper or other fabric between the logo and the iron as your iron will melt the logo. On really bad ones, I have actually taken the logo off, taken out the extra layers, ironed it, then reglued it. But I don't recommend that if you don't know what you are doing unless it's that or unwearable.
@@yvonnevzp I have a question I just bought the la kings jersey ccm from 1998 the black and purple one do I put the fabric glue right on the stitching of the logo on top of it? Or the edges just like how you used a lighter?
A few years ago when I still fit in the youth size jerseys that had the size patch on it I used to take them off because I wanted them to look like a real adidas jersey without paying for one that's too big and too expensive. Now I have 7 Adidas jersey though so I don't have to worry about that.
What’s the brand on that bottle? Need to get some for my Red Sabers alternative, the silvers pulling in a small area and I need to isolate it. What brand is recommended?
What about pressed jerseys with numbers and letters on them? Some tend to wear off and become loose. How do you make sure that it won't happen that way?
The Chosen One wash it inside out, do not put it in the dryer. To fix spots where it is pealing, you iron it; it seals the layers back together. Put your iron on hot, have the Jersey on a flat surface. if you don't have an ironing board, you can use a table with a towel on it. use a piece of paper between the Jersey and the iron otherwise it will melt and stick to your iron which would be sad. Just iron with the edge of your iron, not the whole surface of it. that should seal it all back together. Go slow and check it at you go.
I have been looking for answers like this for my jersey especially for fraying for so long and I never could find anything so I just gave up this helps so much and much thanks!!!
Generally, it will come out after a few washes, If it's an older jersey, you will always kind of see it if you are looking. But much less noticeable than the tag.
Love your videos. Any idea how to get a weird stain that won't come out of a white jersey after multiple washes along with a stain remover? After several washes the stain which is a clear blackish color won't come out. Should I try bleach?
any idea how to strip a crest from the reebok hockey jersey similar to the semi-pro one you're wearing (pens)? Id like to strip one off mine thats in horrible shape and replace it with a fresh new crest so i dont have to trash the rest of the jersey...
For me when I get snags I use a special needle that has a rough back so that when I push it through the area with the snag it grabs it and pulls it to the other side of the jersey so that way it's not visible and fixes the snag
I know it's a long shot that this gets answered: But have you guys applied the fabric glue to the gold armbands on VGK jerseys? I ask because I want to make sure to buy enough if necessary.
I know this is an old video, but I wasn't able to find the exact glue you guys use for the Dallas Stars crest but the one I have says all the same things on the bottle. However, it goes on wet and makes the color of the thread noticeably darker. Does that kind do this too? If it doesn't then I'll hunt some down but trying to find something that will work to preserve the thread without altering the color.
By chance has anyone made a product list of what she showed? If not, I'm willing to make one, as long as it benefits someone. Maybe some replies would help gauge interest.
Jerseys for as much as they cost no matter the sport basketball, baseball, hockey they seem to not last as long for 150 bucks you would hope they would last longer and not fray
Can you use these products on the game issued authentic jersey's? EDIT: Bought the Fray Check at Michael's. Also another one I noticed that they carried was E6000 Fray Lock Adhesive. If they don't have the Fray Check, E6000 might be another option.
Reebok replicas are shit. CCM and Koho were the best. I have an old Bertuzzi Koho from 2003 that has held up beautifully. Reebok frays and threadpulls and shit
Can You do a video on the expansion draft, explaining how it all works. What teams are allowed to protect etc. How salaries and different aspects play into the decisions. My friend and I have a basic idea how it goes but we arent sure on some of the aspects and details. Also having your GF in the video was awesome, fun vid to watch, enjoyed.
Yep, I used to get comments, but my collection has grown to the point where people are too shocked at the size of it to comment on my dressing like a kid anymore.

If you fish the snag through to the inside before melting the snag, the little spec left will be on the inside, and you won't be able to see anything!
love these side videos, keep up the constant content. love your realness
Thank you, Yvonne! Much appreciated!
How can you protect signatures on jerseys??
Is it okay to stitch a glued emblem?

If you're talking about the button thing on the bottom, that isnt important, the nhl shield I reccomend gluing
Any tips for flattening numbers? I've started getting creases or waves in my Alfredsson jersey and want to make them flat again.
Hey Hockey Guy how do u take the creases outta the numbers on ur jerseys?
Can you help me my number is coming of my adidas jersey how do I need to reattach it
Yvonne's awesome. Wish you guys the best.
So Helpful! Thanks so much from NEW JERSEY
What about fading shoulder patches on old reeboks?
Yeah, that's an issue. Dryers are bad for that. The patches on replicas are a major reason I switched to Adidas as much as possible.

One of my favorite videos of all time
Wish I would’ve saw this video before I put my 10 year old jersey that I had just found in the dryer
Also god bless you and your wife for these tips

O-Ottawa should have went to those barber pole style jerseys full time.

Happy Birthday To the beautiful seamstress 👌🎉
Great tips! I’m at 68 jerseys myself. I’ll be cleaning some up
How much of the bleach and baking soda do you use?
can someone tell me how to extinguish a jersey that i set on fire i need advice quick
Just get good
how can i re attached my hockey jersey patch...
I realized a long time ago too never put ANY sports jersey in the dryer.
Old Panthers jersey, I have a set of Home & Road, pro versions done up as who else, Vanbiesbrouck, with 96 Finals patches.

Also, use oxiclean. They work on white jerseys.
Still relevant two years later!
How do you remove stitching imprint after removing size patch on bottom left hand corner on premieres

Always love the comments on videos. There is always so much info that can be had from the comment section.
We'll discuss priorities.... 😂😂😂 love it!
Do you happen to have the 2014 Winter Classic blue Leaf jersey? I have some creasing on the crest and I am looking for advice on how to fix it.
I know it's a long shot that this gets answered:
But have you guys applied the fabric glue to the gold armbands on VGK jerseys? I ask because I want to make sure to buy enough if necessary.
Ive got a vegas adidas that i got from full moon and the main logo doesnt lay flat its kinda got a wave to it. Is there a way to like iron it err?
Fabric land... just in Canada... something just in Canada... I'm prayers have been answered

Hey, I just got the Avalanche home jersey (2015-2017). I was wondering if you had any suggestions to make sure it stays looking pristine?
Taylor.Ramsey.Soccer wash in cold water, use a light detergent preference is Woolite, NEVER put the jerseys in a dryer. Hang dry them.
Mike Sinsabaugh do you think oxyclean is a safe detergent I have the pods
I use a spray and wash if my white jerseys get any stains. I wouldn't think Oxyclean would hurt the fabric.
Mike Sinsabaugh alright good because I've used on my Blackhawks jersey twice
By chance has anyone made a product list of what she showed?
If not, I'm willing to make one, as long as it benefits someone. Maybe some replies would help gauge interest.
I wish there's a video on how to hand sew letterings/patches onto a jersey
Great information thanks..
This was really useful 👍👍👍

Go Sens Go.❤
Now this is valuable info, one reason i don't buy jerseys is b/c i'm afraid to ruin it.Fire good???
My logo on my oilers jerseys always get frayed I hate it!
Oiler_boy99 Q trim the threads and melt the edge and it won't do that anymore. I'm really surprised they don't just come like that already.
Yvonne Plevy ok thanks

The Stars sweater I got when they changed from that awful collegiate black is an Edge I don't have any issues with it
Just curious, but can you sew the logo on. I know most pro jerseys have the logo glued on for placement as its getting stitched.
Reebok replicas are shit. CCM and Koho were the best. I have an old Bertuzzi Koho from 2003 that has held up beautifully. Reebok frays and threadpulls and shit
Nvm. I don’t need a bunch of jerseys. Too much work.
I just take my jerseys to the dry cleaners and never buy white jerseys. lol
your a lucky man
thanks for the tips
