This is such an underrated duel. Because it is from season 1 people don't give it much attention, but imo it was a very good duel (besides the cheating part of it, which later became a characteristic of the side main villain of season 2).
@@lassegrotkjr6326 I mean. Season 2 for me is the best, but I said that because it had a lot of issues with recaps and delays and such. Also even though the whole apocalyptic vibe is wayyyyyy too cool, it was only heavily seen towards the middle of the 1st season. Whereas in Season 2, the concept of "we will now meet the other ignis (at first) and then it turns out into a war between man vs machine" came more organically and was already present as an idea from season 1, but it didn't capitalize on it in terms of ignis outside Ai.
@@NoirEmperor18 the Way you descripe it make it on papir Sound like season 2 should be better, but there was something about season 2 that felt lacking to me compared to season one, to me season 1 was just excecutet better compared to season 2.
Personally I think Spectre got 1-shotted by Ai and we just didn't see the process of how that went down. But the most likely combo is Ai using Fire Phoenix + Judgment Arrows which can hit for 4600 effect damage with one attack even if battle damage is negated. One-hit KOs are the primary weakness of the Sunavalon strategy.
Anime underclock effect is once per turn (even rival turn) if he attack excode Playmaker just activates underclock effect and Spectre just damage himself and lose one monster thats why he attack underclock cause cannot target itself for gain attack.
@@kioyukurasagi8073 Underclock Taker's effect is not a Quick Effect. Not that it matters because Spectre was going for lethal damage with that attack anyway.
Didn't like that Firewall Dragon wasn't used in this duel since it was a Master Duel. And yet instead the spotlight gets stolen to shill out Code Talker stuff despite that Firewall is the main ace.
He didn't use it because Firewall was banned at the time, and since the anime exists to market the game they couldn't have used a banned card. Firewall was simply to op irl, that is why it is the ace monster that appears the least. They likely wanted to have a dynamic like Stardust Dragon and Junk Warrior had with Firewall Dragon and the Code Talkers.
Man spectre was the only one who was able to do an actual perfect extra link
Here because of Spectre Event in Duel Links.

Spectre against Yusaku: 😈
Spectre against AI: 🤡
He performed very well against Lightning though

I love how Playmaker is just done with his pontificating
Where can I download the anime
Wait why didn't he summon healer and then gain 1200 then glorious growth would deal playmaker 1200
Its either 3 reasons
1 he didnt have it yet
2 the plot
3 the writers didnt want him to because it would have been too good of a move
