News18 Rising Bharat 2024 | Disagree with RSS definition of Hindutva, Says Lawyer Sai Deepak | N18V

  • Decoding Bharatiya & Bharatiyata: “I disagree with RSS’ definition of Hindutva. I don’t think a person who is born of other religions need to adopt Hindu Dharma. The point is very simple, when you speak of unity in diversity, Bharat traces this value from Hindu Dharma,” says Sai Deepak.
Lawyer Sai Deepak says at the summit that it is impossible to take religion out of the Bharatiya life. “Religion and culture go hand in hand in identifying the civilisational identity of Bharat. As far as I am concerned, Hindu Dharma and civilisational aspects define what is Bharatiya dharma,” he says.
He adds, “If you were to ask me what is the defining trait of Bhartiya, it is Dharma. Civilisational identity of Bharat is defined by Hindu Dharma. Because it is defined by Hindu Dharma, it can accommodate other faiths.”

Yes. Dharma is not the same as religion. The word religion comes from the latin word religare meaning to be bound (preferably by a book with some non existent transcendent god's commandements). Dharma is like the fulcrum of a seesaw. It upholds/sustains stability and harmony of the universe. Every entity in the cosmos has a dharmic role to play from an electron to human beings.
Hindutva is nothing but an individual or organization or political party upholding personal, social and environmental dharma for stablility and haromony of the world. Any religion or person (regardless of birtrh) who violates dharma have to be dealt through (sam, dhan, bhed and dand) or (persuade, purchase, divide and create or exploit weakness and punish) depending on the context. This is Hindutva.

Ahimsa does not mean nonviolence. It means least harm to a society through dharmic action by Hindutva forces against adharma. Dharmic Hindus are egoless and karma yogis (even if they kill for dharma they are not bound by law of karma or cause and effect - Bhagavad Gita Ch 18 vs 17).

If we are powerful, we are powerful to take our own decision and decide whom we want to give citizenship. Let the muslims of Pakistan go to International forums and beg for citizenship in Bharat. Vaise bhi they are an International Epitome for begging and playing the victim card.

As a Sri Lankan, tamilian and Hindu I have to inform you that we are in fact second class citizens with non-equal rights. It is a milder form of ill-treatment.
However, Bharat has no obligation towards us or our plight. But it has towards the plight of Hindus of the northern neighbouring countries.
Sri Lanka has always been an independent country. Whatever happens on our land is our fate and our karma.
But Pakistan, Bangladesh and parts of Afghanistan have been a part of Bharat. They were separated from it under the pretext of religious sovereignty.
And as we can see all over the world Islamic counties find it hard to treat their religious minorities in a humane way. Bharat should do whatever it takes to protect them.

Why Sonam Wangchuk ‘s demands for #Ladakh are currently #NotFeasible, in the current geopolitical scenario :-
1.Union Territory status of #Ladakh should not be removed as there is a border stand-off along the #LAC, with the Indian Army and PLA unable to resolve the crisis. As long as the border crisis exists, Ladakh needs to be a UT
2.6th Schedule of the constitution on #Ladakh will hamper #Infrastructure development along the #LAC that is required for the quick deployment of armed forces, Especially, when the #Chinese are developing their #Border infrastructure In surprising speed
3.The period before #Article370 when Ladakh was under the whims of the #Abdullah's and the #Mufti's would have been a perfect time to begin these protests. Especially when there was no border crisis along the LAC. why start now?
4.If he wanted to only fight for #Ladakh, why show such an attitude & provide such crude examples of Hindu duties, Ram and Sita? He could have come up with a better example.
"They turned out to be such a Ram that they rescued Sita from Ravana & sold her in an open market instead of taking her home."- Sonam Wangchuk
5.There are also ‘claims’ that Sonam Wangchuk was spreading separatism among the youth, and acting as an enabler for various separatist movements across the region.

    1. The basic issue is Hinduism is a different from exclusivist, supremist nature of Abrahamic religions. Therefore, for a country like India with majority subscribing to Hinduism with 35% to 40% being other believers, defining Bhartiya and Bharityata is going to be problematic. But now that we have a Constitution with which no one broadly has much issues ( except for amendments during Emergency times!), we should not bother to raise this question at all but let every one follow the Constitution and the rule of law. However, this is so as long as population structure remains as mentioned above but as soon as it changes to Hindus even becoming below 50%, the Constitution itself may be abrogated in favor of something else!! 2. So rather than trying to answer such divisive questions, we should focus on something more drastic - have a vote share in proportion to the religious structure of the population to preserve and protect the Constitution as as was originally enacted in 1950- that is remove the word secular and socialist from its preamble. 3. We need a clear definition of minority in its various dimensions. 4. We need to remove control over Hindu Temples or have control over all religious institutions. UCC is of course taken as given. After this is done, we focus on our citizenship and call ourselves Bhartiyas or Indians. And religion goes into the private sphere. 5. More importantly, Hinduism must develop a process for conversion from other faiths to Hinduism to have a level playing field. Otherwise, Hindus get converted to other faiths but converse is not possible today, due ot the peculiar nature of Hinduism. This needs to be corrected urgently.

*Don't be Casteist Fundamentalist Bigoted "Mazhabi Sanatani." Be "Mukt Hindu" Free from Scriptural Fundamentalism.*
There're two versions of Hinduism. One, that's Hinduism, the Religion that's way of Faith. Another is Hinduism, the Dharma which's not Religion, which's not bound by any Scripture or Shankaracharya or Faith, not even by the idea of Super-Natural.
I follow that Hinduism of Seeking which's unbound, and Dharma which has no necessary relations with any Scripture, not even the necessary idea of Gods or Super-Natural.
That version of the Hinduism is the real Secularism. Secularism comes from Hinduism, the way of Seeking, Seeking the Truth and Conscience. And the ONLY Truth is Science.
Secularism comes from Hinduism. And Secularism is the real Hinduism.
And the Hinduism of Seeking, has been fighting with the Hinduism of Religious Faith, forever.
It's these two versions of Hinduism, that curves the Bharatvarsha.
And for the sake of Hinduism the way of Seeking, I must fight Hinduism the Religious Faith, and Clerics and Shankaracharyas and Scriptural Fundamentalism, superstitions.
You don't understand, Secularism comes from Hinduism. And Secularism IS the real Hinduism.
And if you want the real Hinduism the way of Seeking, then you must fight Hinduism the Religious Faith, along with ALL the religious faiths around the world.
Hinduism the way of Seeking is the bedrock of the Bharatvarsha. And we really call that version of Hinduism as Secularism, only.
When you're fighting with real Secularism, you're actually fighting with the actual Hinduism.
For the sake of Hindu "Dharma", that's Secularism, we must fight Hindu ReligionS along with evil Abrahamic Religions as well.
Secular Hindus are the real Hindus. Anti-Secular Hindus are the real enemy of the Hindus.
But, we don't need Pseudo-secularism, that's for sure.
We must eradicate Islam, the Religion of Terror, first and foremost. We must stop Conversions of Hindus, if we want India to remain Bharatvarsha. We must stop Missionaries and Fraud-Ambedkarite fraud-Islamo-Buddhists Conversion Rackets.
But without Secularism, India will go down in hell. Secularism is the real Hinduism.
For the sake of real Hinduism, Secularism, we shall be prepared to fight even the Hinduism the Religious Faith.

India, that is Bharat, has the burden of bringing back all minorities because Pakistan was earmarked for “muslims”. If that is the partition, why is India under the burden of bringing in Muslims in India?
We were secular then, and that’s why about 20-30cr Muslims live in India. About as much in Pakistan.
The problem today is how minorities in Pakistan are being treated. The problem isn’t why 20-30cr muslims in India are living happily, sometimes aggressively.

If Deepak is so assured of arguments why does he raise voice so much. He lost his cool and started attacking.
Deepak just knows how to define concepts well and arguing.
Read Isha Upanishad. It is about embracing the infinite. Deepak is positing a limited view of the Vedic culture.
The culture has been alive and well for millennia. Why do Bharatiya people feel so inferior that they need to create fences? Hinduism has been so flexible and long living.
