Thank you for these ideas for troubleshooting. I Have a Ricoma EM1010 and my operator manuals and parts book were pdf files on the USB sent with the machine. But they simply do not offer full info on these machines. You tube and FB pages have been indispensable for finding solutions to many issues! After trying for 2 days to rectify an issue with my machine going off center when restarting the design, your tip to look at info on OTHER machines lead me to a FB page that had a helpful guide of how to reset embroidery parameters to center the hoops! WHile it was not specific to my machine, it was a different model Ricoma, and the Control Panel information was similar enough that I managed to get the hoop recentered and the project was not a total loss! Thank you!
Hi, a question when putting the cap frame on, I pressed a lot on the base that moves the frame backwards and I felt that it moved a little backwards and now the cap is not centered within the caps parameter, is there a way that I can reset it factory so that the axis that you moved back is back in its factory place? Thanks
I was embroidering my cap and the needle broke, and I loosen the screw too much but I got that taking care of. Now it says my design is out of the hoop area now it says needle is not position correctly. How do I get it to position correctly so I can finish my design, I'm up to the last triming to be completed.
I recently embroidered some left front panel Richardson 112 caps. Now I can’t center my full panel caps on my driver. It keeps going back to my left panel. Any ideas to help me out?

Haha, freak out is the first thing I do. I have a Ricoma EM1010 and it has NOT been a good ride since I got it. I’ve been with it a year and there’s always something. Right now I have a thread stuck in between that section where the bobbin goes and it’s too hard to pull out. I already removed the plate and looked in there and took all thread from there, but this one piece I can’t take out. Que hago?!?!?
Ok, yes, its happened to me too. You want to remove the needle plate and see whats holding it back. Most likely its tied in a knot somewhere. Get a good view and try to pull gently to untie the knot or the obstruction if possible.
@@RomeroThreads I did, and I took all the thread out but there is one piece that's jammed in a place where I cannot reach. The thread is peaking out and I can grab it, but it's to tight in there and I can't pull it out, it breaks.
Can u help me pls. I'm having problem MAIN MOTOR OVERTIME. If i start the machine the degree show 90 and the machine is not moving n show in the monitor Main motor overtime. What is the problem excatly? I chk needle 1 to 12 by manually all is ok.
I have an issue with my MT1501. I suffered a jam and now the shaft and the motor doesn't turn. Have you ever seen anything like that? Axis is at 100 and it's on a needle. I'm thinking the motor died but no way to actually know. Reciprocator moves manually so it seems fine there.
Hello, thats happened to us a couple of times. Sometimes the machine is trying to protect itself by locking up. It could have detected an obstruction. We've had to manually rotate the needle bar, align the needles to get it back. Service should be able to walk you through it. If you get it to work, I would love to know your solution. Take care.
Ricoma does not send a Manual with the machines they sell. At least the two 1501 machines I bought they did not send anything like that. I asked them for one and they told me thy don't come with them. Kinda hard referring to it if you don,t have one. If they made them for us owners it might save them a lot of phone calls from customers.
@@RomeroThreads Hi , I'm very new at this and I am watching your video and its great. However, I would like to have the manuals, trouble shooting manuals and a better understanding of how it all works. Please can some help with a link to where these are on their website. THANK YOU!

How can you undone a bobbin stick into a cap hat? I can’t take the cap off cause it seems tangled into to. I don’t want to pull and mess the machine up.
Hello, you have to remove the hat (slightly pull it off) then cut the thread. If its bird nested, with a large amount of thread and its stuck, you're going to have to cut the hat. and open up the top of the bobbin housing area and remove all the thread.
@@RomeroThreads did it and fixed it thank you. Sorry one more question, i was able to remove it without damaging the hat and i wanted to continue the thread once i backed it up to where the thread was missing it won't thread after i push start. any suggestions?

I have an issue with my 1501 tc where the thread is not being trimmed when the machine goes for a trim it has caused issues because the machine goes on because the thread stay attached an starts to tug on the head which has caused some placement issues
Something is misaligned with your cutter. You have to clean out the knife housing, right above the bobbin housing area, make sure no thread or debris is there and do a cut command to make sure it’s cutting without any obstruction.
For needle breaks, I first make sure the hat is hooped correctly, then ensure I have the correct needle. Usually 75/11 sharp should be good, sometimes you need 80/12 sharp. If thats not the problem, i’ll double check the design make sure I don’t have any area too dense. There is no 1 answer, you have to move backwards and see where the problem is at.
Hello, sounds like a needle or bobbin issue. Make sure the needle is straight and facing the correct side. Make sure your bobbin area is completely clean, bobbin is turning in the correct clockwise rotation and check your thread path. Thanks.
I also faced the same problem but by this video i resolved my problem I think this video will help you a lot. 👉 th-cam.com/video/OKAXkuBxG_Q/w-d-xo.html
You need to turn the red knob that’s on the side of the needle plates it’s a round knob. Turn it slow until a needle number shows on the screen. You should be good to go when you see the needle number on the screen. This is the needle that happens to be over the hole that receives the needle in the bobbin. So depending on what needle happens to be over that hole, that is the needle that will display. This happens when the machine is not recognizing there is a needle over the needle hole above the bobbin. Should be a easy fix.
Love this video except for the compressed air. Engineers will tell you to never use compressed air because it can force dust or lint further in to the machine mechanics
Ive been using compressed air forever. Some techs have different advice. Its all a matter of preference but a small brush wont get those hard to reach corners. Thanks for the feedback.
Compressed air is fine to use if you actually know how to use it. They recommend not using it because not everyone knows not to sit there and hold the trigger until freon starts coming out.
With much respect, we should never use compressed air on our machines... It promotes rust deep within the machine, and forces lint and debris deeper than where it originally is.
