Great finds! Bucket list vacation for me.
Once again, thanks you for your novel contributions to the vinyl community on YT!
Your manner and perspective are very much appreciated!
Thanks very much for the thoughtful comment, it means a lot!
This is awesome! Love this series, man. Been my fav vc videos/series of the past couple of years.
Thank you so much for the encouraging words 🙏🏼
Damn I had no idea you could get such good value in Japan, some incredible titles and didnt break the bank, nice work!
Very, very informative. Thank you a lot, Rich. :)
Great video Rich. Thanks for adding the pricing very interesting.
Great story on the sonny Clark trio, it’s always exciting to find something, better than you hoped for 😊
Man, Rich! This was killer! It’s only been about 6 months since I’ve returned from Japan and this is making me want to go back even more! Great finds and that Sony Clark Liberty Mono with the RVG for $25?!?!?! A score of a lifetime! As for your question about pairing Liberty/Blue Label-Era jackets and vinyl, I’m for it! Frankensteining is normal in my opinion and I don’t think people should get too riled up. Same thing is said with an Original Jacket with a Liberty/Earless. Anyways, awesome finds and I’m beyond happy for you!
Thanks Rich, Great finds!
Great video. Congrats on the pick ups.
Some good prices on old OJCs there. Prices in the U.S. have jumped on the old 80s/90s OJCs to where I rarely buy them here anymore.
Well now, thank goodness for delayed flights! Awesome haul!
Dan
Love the channel, great finds and great prices.
Love how particular you are with condition.
Funny all the jazz getting bought up again by the western market.
The Japanese bought all the jazz and took it over there.
The circle of life 😀
I used to own a record store and used to have vans pulling up of Japanese buying all the deep house & techno back in the day
this is going to be great!
Yes, that Sonny Clark record is in every jazz record shop in Japan, and, like you, I always check the pressing. I waited for a few years to buy it in the hope of getting a good pressing cheaply, but few weeks ago I managed to find a UA stereo pressing for 2,500 Yen. It sounds great, and I thought that was a good deal and was quite pleased with myself ....... until l watched this video!
You may have seen that I found your pressing on this trip too, I think it is also great!
Hi Rick , lovin this video
Picked up a maiden voyage at local pawn shop
United artist pressing for $2 Canadian
Checked on discogs It was 1977 repress
Vg plus , lucky day
For me , keep ‘em coming , regards Lorenz🇨🇦
Rich awesome Sonny Clark Trio find for $25 . I never seen an OJC Rollins plays Bird in the wild . Never knew that about Blue Train the non RVG stereo pressings. Rich I’m definitely on the hunt Mal -1 OJC it’s one I never see the original is way out my budget .
8:50 haha everyone loves Mosburger.
hope you do well ...... long time i not seen a new video post from you ....... pretty sure soon it´s time again ...... byebye from berlin/german jazz pianist andreas schmidt
That Don Friedman is killer with a great price!!😮...very rare!
Rich - I can’t believe you passed on that Don Friedman - I have been looking for it for years. Looks like you had a great trip to Japan. Love Japan.
@@jeffreysobczynski7113 I need to revisit...last time I listened I don't remember loving it!
Love the opening music. What is that?
Glad you asked man, I made it! You should check out my modular synth channel @r-omega ☺ You can hear the whole song on my channel, it's called "Ako's Arrival".
@@dgmono a man of many talents, and records!

Why the cut corners ?
My understanding is stores cut the corners of stock that was sold on clearance that was not returnable. For some reason a lot of Blue Note '70s reissues have cut corners.
Thanks , makes me want the records no one initially wanted 😊
