John Deer 450K Dozer Pushing Large Trees

- I have been waiting several months for the temperatures to drop below freezing so I could go down below the barn and start clearing out the wooded area for a outdoor horse arena all of the trees we remove we cut them up for firewood selling some of the firewood off, raising money to donate back to local fire departments and other nonprofit organizations. In this video, I use a #johndeere 450 k dozer 👍🏻 Thank you for choosing to watch our channel and the progress we have made so far on our 52 acre farm. We enjoy making upgrades to the property whether it's access roads, or installing large and small, barns, equipment, storage buildings, running heavy equipment, and giving a home to a miniature pony and miniature donkey. We like to give others ideas of how we operate things on our property. We don't claim to be professionals, but we like to share our opinion and views. we are very much open for suggestions or opinions in a respectful manner to further our progress, on making things safer for us in the future. Your a pretty darn good operator there Tom! Considering this is not your trade. As you were pushing those trees over I was thinking about getting stuck on the root ball. The company I worked for never pushed the trees with the dozers. We always pushed with the Cat 316 and and bucked the root balls off and pushed them. I have less than 2 hrs on a dozer and they take some time getting used to them for sure. Good video man!

Thanks kind of crazy how it happened the one power company video, and that one short video I did of sucking the string through the conduit went viral. That’s where most of the subscribers came from. 🤷🏻♂️. Guess you gotta start somewhere with a little bit of luck . now only if all those people would actually watch the long version videos 🤣

Yeah, the Dozer does a nice job ! I’m hoping to replenish some of my inventory for my roadside stand this summer I got wiped up pretty good plus if we get this new house built I’m hoping to do an outdoor wood burner if there’s enough money left over if not, might have to wait till the following year👍
@fatefarmspa yes I understand. If you don't get the outdoor furnace right away, would you consider burying the lines for future use?

I think what makes it so fun is the amount of work you can get done in a short time just have to be cautious. A lot of power and movement going on. 💪🏼
Back when I was pretty small, that’s how the county plowed this road was with a dozer.

Wow, that’s pretty crazy. Whenever I was a kid we would get bad snowstorms and they would run graders down the road.

It is amazing how the blad and mechanism can handle that much offset pressure and Torque like that. Incredible machines for sure. Do you have a hole you are going to push. the stumps into?

The John Deere does well for a small dozer. I had a bigger, one two years ago. We ended up getting rid of it because it was a permit load in case we needed to move it onto other jobs but yes, it is a little hard on pushing the corner of the blade cherry trees went over pretty easy, but the sugar maple was given me some fits so I’m gonna wait and dig it out with a backhoe 👍

Quite a tree up rooting machine. Lots of firewood. Kinda figured it’s hard pushing on the outside of the blade.
Ahhh, a dozer. Always wanted one. Have no use for it. Maybe drive up and down my son’s driveway to push snow and annoy the neighbours. 🤭🤭🤭

I'll knock them over like that as well in the Spring with the grapple on the skid steer. It's hard to do in the Wintertime here because the ground freezes deep and the root ball won't budge. Usually the trunk breaks before the tree goes over or you'll get these massive root balls and craters. Looks like you got'er under control there though. Good job!

I was wondering that myself because it was pretty cold here if they were going to come out of the ground or bust off at the base, the cherry trees I pushed over I think we’re on their last leg they come out pretty easy but those sugar maple are actually still standing I’ve been trying to find time to dig them out with the backhoe 👍

Yeah, I agree it’s been very weird around here. We did a lot of snow removal back in the day got out at the right time. Guys are around here are really struggling to make any money.
