This soo underrated I've dreamed of a dually diesel centurion most if my life the unlimited towing capability coupled with a full size sleeper is just insane
For many years after retiring I pulled a midsized RV camper with a Chevy van then a Dodge van. Our adopted son spent most of his time in the van. There were times we'd take a ride from camp and end up sleeping over in the boonies in the van. Yes, I too, dreamed of a Centurion conversion. I'm almost certain we saw this one a time or two plus at least a few others in our travels.
My dad had one of these, it was an 85 Centurion Cruiser III with the 6.9 IDI (stock). Had a 4-10 rear axle and would just pull and pull (puffing smoke the whole way).
Very informative video, Jennifer! I remember when the 6.9s were around, and then the 7.3s came out (Navistar). Our family used to show dogs in the Midwest and these were popular at dog shows, along with F-350 conversions (3-door F-350s, or crew cabs with an additional extended cab), plus the Centurion Bronco conversions (pre-Expedition, of course).
My neighbors had a 1980's model Ford Centurion van pickup truck in the 1990's when I was a kid. They had the brown one and it had curtains in it. That was the only one I have ever seen in my 39 years of life.
Where I live in MN there was a Horse Show Guy that had one of those NEW, with a 4x4 conversion...It started as a 460/C6, had an Isuzu 6cyl diesel when I last saw it...and it was sitting for sale in someone's yard in New Richmond WI (By Cedar Lake Speedway) I took a TON of 35MM Photos of it Both when it was 460 and Isuzu powered...as it was the ONLY 4x4 Centurion I gad ever seen. (I need to find these pics and scan and slide show them!) - They are from 30 years ago and I am not as organized as I once was!

Awesome van/truck. I love the old customs, the 6.9idi was a great engine and even cooler with the turbo setup. I bet it pulls like a locomotive. Back in the day I had an ex-girlfriend whose grandfather had an F350 with an aftermarket turbo 6.9 and 5 inch exhaust. It sounded incredible.
Another great vehicle! Hopefully someday if I get my butt into gear I'll be able to get my van on video. Thank you guys for all the work you do. Stay safe.
Been watching a lot of TH-cam TV. I was amazed when I found videos of van shows and some amazing vans. Only owned two full sized vans and wished we'd gotten another instead of a quad cab truck.
We have a E250 Pathfinder 4x4 van. If like ours (original/on coil springs), Jeff will need to modify the twin panhard bar/split trak rod design. If not, the front end will provide very disappointing suspension travel. We went to a z-link/watts link. But a standard full width Trak rod should do fine. If it has leaf springs...nevermind. We lived north of Tampa near the Suwannee river for 22 years. In our travels we passed several van conversion companies and several Centurions in our RV travels. Most likely we saw yours and maybe talked.
My lady was exactly like Jennifer for almost 64 years. My best friend, camping, biker, and car buddy. The diference is my wife had blonde hair and her booby tats were two love birds on her left breast and a full sized hummingbird on the left one. I first saw this video on TV but had to checkout the Centurion again.
I have one of these Centurion Dually VanTruck things, I’m pulling out the turbo 6.9 and building a 521ci Big Block for it. I got it for $43 because the previous owner is a friend of mine and he shot a rod out of the oil pan and just wanted to get rid of it.
Have a nice 89 club wagon with the 7.3. Just installed a banks kit with a 90cc IP and stage 1 injectors from R&D. Have a fella who wants to trade me a decent 460 centurion for it. If it was an idi I'd have it already. Love those Alcoas!!!
I have (clear & clean.titled and new state issued vin,& original keys) -90's gmc 2500 vandura hightop inclosed trailer with rear hitch...actual van cut at driver's door and sealed..Single original axle...wonder if they be interested in it for their collection? I only have GMC Van's but the trailer is too heavy for towing with 1500 gm vans. Wanted it to do van nationals. But making a ultralight fake van body fiberglass trailer to match 98-to present gm body style.

I have one of these, it's a 92 with a 9ft bed and side mount spares. One big badass truck! Overheard in traffic "what the hell is that?!!
