    B9b Vinskus, a Mojave club number in MA. rebushes the kick idler and reverse gear visible after clutch basket removal. A very thin bushing is required to keep them from wobbling and they will eat into the case so doing. A common Mojave failure point is the kick-start gears. Again, consult a svc. manual or on-line parts diagram to check you gave all the required widgets. Web Cams in CA. renews worn Mojave cams and rockers, great because our machines would be scrap without this service. Most of us hadda wipe cams to find out too late we needed zinc in this particular engine. I kinda blame Kawasaki for no svc. manual bullet point on this!! So cal em up and chime in.     I got bit by the Mojave bug. I am 64, did my iwn clutch anything chain job to kearn. Small parts matter, s9 carefully consult parts diagrams. They are so fun, manual clutch, not too heavy. Run Lucas ATV semi-synthetic oil. The Mohave has a higher-friction valve train so you must use a ZINC OIL with about 1200 ppm zinc for cam/rocker survival. Do what I did and call Kawasaki USA customer support. Ask them to rorod7ce Mojave & KLR parts. There is a waiting market because of a long oroduction run, yet main parts, like cams, are no longer available. Even simple plastic chain sliders and guards are gone!
