I like the second one so much better... You can do so much more... I kinda wish they would have brought a few things over like repairing damaged walls. Out side of that 2 is light years better than 1.
The only good thing that came out of House Flipper 2 is the sandbox mode. I've played the first games for a long time, and with all the DLC's i felt like the possibilities was endless. Modern house, old house, or even a japanese house, no problem. in the second game i feel very limited with my furniture options. I find myself spending more time making facades and other boring stuff in house flipper 2, where in the first game i spend way more time decorating my house inside. It's the small details that made the first game better in my opinion. They should've taken the first game, and added the sandbox mode, then it would've been perfect!
House flipper 2 is light years better than 1 in almost every way imaginable. I absolutely love building my own houses in sandbox mode.. my only complaint.. is the lack of choices in light switches, I hope they will be adding more in the future, and I hope they allow the modding community to make items.
6:43 The flamethrower was something I didn't think I'd ever really use, UNTIL there were certain things that didn't work right and only the flamethrower would get rid of them. Like when you move a door inside a house and suddenly you have grass growing up through the floor -- there is NO way to remove it other than the flamethrower. Also, when putting down gravel or bark, you can't get close enough to tree trunks and so you have all these poky bits sticking up and ruining the look. The flamethrower gets rid of the grass and you can then put down the gravel/bark as close as possible to get an aesthetic look. (I just did this for my "In the Woods" house, which has horrid *yellow* grass everywhere and I wanted a forest look with bark/mulch.)
Thank you very much for this video. I've just started dipping into the "cozy games" genre again after RL refuses to be just that, and I am very greatful that you made a video like this to help me decide between HF 1 getting all DLC's or 2 as that just added co-op. (I've decided on 2 even tho no friends have it, haha) I've noticed tho that you've stopped uploading videos, will you be returning one day, as I'd love to hear your opinions on all the new ones coming in 2025
Enjoy them both but not so keen on the cartoon style graphics of HF2.Original also had more choice for lights, pictures etc.HF2 wins by a mile for allowing you to build your own house from scratch though.
I played both, and I really prefer the freedom of HF2. Yeah, we have a lot less furnitures without all the DLC atm, but on the other hand, the "create a style" tool that can be applied to anything improve things vastly. 2 kitchens with the exact same furnitures could look totally different with another set of wood/color/etc, so the variety brought by years of DLC is compensated by the personnalisation options. Also, I prefer VASTLY House Flipper 2 for the assembly. While the assembly was first the first 2 or 3 times, it becomes way too tedious in House Flipper, I hate instaling washing machines in that game. In HF2, they found the perfect compromise, you can assembly for an item, once, if you really want, you can ignore it totally if you don't, and then all the item you buy directly in game are already assembled. The discount is perhaps small for the small items, but anyway, the easy items are cheap anyway, but it grows with complexity, and 6% on bigger items, without being gamebreaking, is still nice to have.
I missed the before and after photos. Dev lame the game withtoo much unpacking which was so boring. They ripped off from Home. Great assessment by the way. Thanks
I bought the sequal but then gave up pretty quickly to be honest because the "picking up trash" bit was driving me nuts! Is the game made so that the longer you play the more trash you get to fill in one bag? I could hardly put anything in the trashbag before it was full, not to mention trying to hit the trashbin at the correct angle to get the bags in there....does this improve? I really want to play the game ,I love HF1,I just don`t have the patience for picking up trash for an hour before I can start the process...thanks for any replies on this :)
Yes, you can "upgrade" the bag to fill more trash, and also to select more trash to pick up. If you're having trouble throwing the bag in the bin, I would suggest putting the bin against the invisible wall where your character can't walk anymore. The bag will go in no matter what because it can fall anywhere else. Finally, not all jobs require picking up tons of trash, in some of them you have to clean more than in others.
It's better it's just lacking in decorations such as the pictures the art that the first one has wish the second had, they should put all the things that are on the first one in the second house flipper, but everything else is alguds😊
You are so wrong there... you can easily upload any picture you want to add to the game... and it looks great. My wife is a jack skeleton fan so I add a bunch of pictures of that in to my house. It is completely limitless.
@clipstretch8147 that was my fear about HF2, after having been excited about House Flipper VR (anyone remember that one? the stepchild no one talks about) but was sorely disappointed by the cartoon graphics and deplorable mechanics. I've spent probably 2-3 hrs in the VR version whereas I'm currently up to 2300+ hours in HF1. I love the level of "realism" (such as it is, improved drastically by Workshop items) of HF1: I've created many houses that look quite realistic in HF1. There are some videos here on YT by Jellie and others that have realistic-looking houses in HF2, so I did buy the second game but as of this writing haven't started it yet. Already *not* looking forward to overgrown lawns ("gardens" as some call them) and the lack of a lawn mower, which was one of my favorite aspects of HF1 and should be included in the base game without question but wasn't. The devs learned nothing from HF1 in that respect, and it always makes me laugh when people say "The devs listen to their players" when clearly they don't. We're still waiting on bugs to be fixed that were reported at least 4 years ago...will the same be true for HF2? Okay, so I've ranted on enough, but suffice it to say I'm somewhat excited about HF2 but have some serious misgivings.
I enjoyed them both but the first one is much better. Had a more laid-back feel to it too
I like the second one so much better... You can do so much more... I kinda wish they would have brought a few things over like repairing damaged walls. Out side of that 2 is light years better than 1.
@ Nah. They’re even still releasing DLCs for the first one. That just goes to show how much better & successful it was

The Homer voice clip killed me 😹😹😹
I'm just glad I'm not the only one that did that with the scaffolding thing lmao

Great video Sara! A really comprehensive overview of the new game. I think I'll wait for a steam sale to buy it though 😂
I'd like to have HF2, my PC won't handle the graphics requierements but one can dream.

Great rundown and commentary 💛

Adjust the graphs, Mine don't look like a cartoon at all.

they do show the before and after photos.. not sure what your talking about.
I miss the sod rolls and siding in HF2
Tossing the trash out the window 😂

This was the exact kind of review I needed as someone who is deciding which one to play for the first time! Thank you! I'm going with House Flipper 2

@ericdraven7185 Can I do that on Xbox
I’m upset I can’t even play HF2 because I have a Mac:(
Don't have a Mac. Have a PC!
This is such a good video. You definitely earned my follow!!!❤️
I love them both
Great idea for a video
Ah loov hawse flippur tew
House flipper 2 is like the mobile game I think
It isn't, I've played both. Mobile is basically pay to avoid pain, this one isn't cash grabby at all
Is different not Better ( for me Is Better)
hf2 is too cartoony
