    bit of nitpicking here: Dragon's Den is not the Canadian version of Shark Tank. Shark Tank is, in fact, the American version of Dragon's Den.

    Yeah, it's sooo different. I watch a lot of Netflix and I notice that even if we do get something, we'll be so far behind in the seasons being available. Sometimes I even wonder if they've given up on updating them when I know there should be more. I think Netflix's UI is designed to give the viewer tunnel vision, as in it looks like there's far more available than there really is. Case in point, take a look at the Canadian section and it's kind of sad to look at. I can see why the government wants Netflix to invest more in Cancon. Overall, I feel like the selection of what's available is far more limited and maybe it's because of this that it's far easier to see what comes and goes. And what does go tends to come back on a fairly regular basis to give the feeling of new content. You can see a lot of this by putting something on your list and seeing it eventually disappear only to reappear several months later. This is exacerbated by the fact that we have fewer streaming services available.
    Love your content btw. You have a nice and entertaining presentation style.

    I’m a dual citizen of Canada and the USA so I’m always interested in these types of videos 😁 both countries are amazing 🇺🇸🇨🇦 the story of how my parents met is kinda cool. My Mom was born in Florida and my Dad is from Hamilton, Ontario. My Dad is a Canadian Pro Golfer (now retired). He competed in a golf championship in Florida back in the 70’s and met my Mom at a bar afterwards. This was really amazing though as my Mom isn’t a drinker and her friend basically had to drag her out of her sorority house at Florida State just to go to this particular bar. My Dad pretty much fell in love on sight but he was quite drunk. I guess he kept pursuing my Mom the whole night as she kept ignoring him (he was so intoxicated 🤪)...well, she FINALLY gave in & the rest is history. They married in Florida and then moved to Canada 🇨🇦 a lot of things had to fall in place for them to meet, marry and for my brother and I to be born ❤️ VERY cool! The only thing really neglected is that the Crave app for Samsung SUUUUUCKS and it’s not much better on a laptop. We recently cancelled although we liked the programming because half the time we couldn’t watch what we intended without a lot of fiddling with menus and frozen loading screens.

    • @MrMikeyboy4
      @MrMikeyboy4 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      that app is good on my iphone ...it could be you laptop and tv not updating it depending on how old it is.

    • @jenwalld2800
      @jenwalld2800 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s only a three year old TV and has the Disney Plus app on it which works fine, so it’s not the TV. My laptop is also brand new - just bought it six months ago and that is running Crave from the site. I find new episodes of things are the glitchiest to try to watch. Often they are not posted or if they are, they freeze when you try to play them. And then when you back out, it takes you to a completely different part of the menu and it’s a pain to find your way back to what you were watching. 🤷🏼‍♀️

    10:08 Friends and Fresh Prince are on HBO Max if you're in the US. As for Canada, both shows are still on Netflix (although I think Fresh Prince is moving to Crave in January 2021).

    I’m in 🇨🇦, I heard the U.S. version has bigger selection tho? Is “The King of Queens” on American Version? I can’t find it anywhere..

    Here's something weird for CAN vs. US Netflix... a couple years ago i asked some friends for some obscure horror films to watch for Halloween. A few people suggested a film called Pontypool, and also a few online lists suggested it as well. I live in Ontario and Pontypool is a small town not far from Oshawa. I cant find this random movie about a small Ontario town anywhere on Canadian streaming services, but at the time of me trying to find it, it was apparently on american netflix. Lol so weird!

    Hi from Waco, TX. I really enjoy watching you guys. Joseph, if the show was Branch Dravidian Standoff instead of Waco would the title have had more meaning?

    • @robertarnold6076
      @robertarnold6076 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was very surprised Joeseph didn't even know about Waco.. I'm Canadian as well and remember the event while I was in high school. Being from Waco... did you enjoy the show?

    • @cindyrosser2471
      @cindyrosser2471 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@robertarnold6076 I no longer have Netflex. I retired from Waco public library which holds as many available archival material on the incident as possible. While on the reference desk, I met some of the ex-Davidians, most had left the compound before David Koresh became so extreme, and they would chat about their experiences. So, I don't feel any need to watch a fictional version of events.

    Fantastic episode/great production too! Shark Tank(2009) is the US version of Dragon's Den(2003),(some of our business heads then went to Shark Tank), which I think was inspired by a UK version?

    I noticed some differences with the Netflix in the US, it had more series like “The people vs. O.J. Simpson”, and “The murder of Gianni Versace”...both I would binge watch on the subway lol

      We had the OJ series here in Canada too.. but I think our license was shorter.
      I only start a longer series now if I check first for the removal date... I was halfway through Battlestar Galactica and they took it off. (I'm not doing that again if I can help it)
