This is not a review nor an unboxing as much as it's just me talking about this highly unique masterclass in keeping time, so sit back and enjoy some crisp visuals and my impressions of this ground-breaking timepiece by Tissot.
This is the perfect timepiece, for me.
I am not really a collector, but I am always down with finding out and nerding out about all kinds of stuff- and it just so happens that this unique masterclass in automatics is my favorite watch, of all time.
It is just so charming and romantic in the way of both its outward appearance and its inner workings.
It is not trying to be anything else than what it is, which is more than enough...
Open, crisp and clear yet still subtle and reserved in terms of all the things which it is not.
The perfect companion, first edition of the powermatic 80, with character.
Unpretending and straightforward.
Simple, inviting and sincere.
Rare, restrained and tastefully subtle.

I appreciate your passion for this Watch. There are not really any reviews on this model. I have the black dial with the leather strap. The first few weeks of owning this watch, it solidified my love for it. I really fell in love with the dial. The AR coating on both sides of the crystal makes it seem like there’s no crystal at all when you look at it at the right angle. My favorite viewing of the dials is when I’m driving my car and my hand is on the steering wheel. The light shines on the numerals and they just seem to pop out of the dial. It really is a sight to behold. You said it quite well, at certain angles the numbers disappear. Then a slight turn of the wrist and they just pop. I’m sure that blue dial looks even better in person. I feel like video and pictures Do not do these watches justice. Thanks for the heartfelt review. By the way on a full 70-80 winds I’m getting minus 1 second per day… amazing accuracy.

I have the same watch just bought it recently. I'm not really that into watches like other people either, I don't collect them. I'm more practical, I believe in having one or few which hold some purpose in your life that connects with you. The watch is just like you described, its simple yet stunning with none of that extra fluff. It serves its intended purpose to utmost level. It's fascinating how we both can appreciate it for what it truly is.
