I had a custom sheath made that holds a sharpening/honing stone, unless Im in a hurry I always quickly hone before sheathing and it really extends the edge life
You could have stayed with the 1095 carbon steel its proven. The weak point of KA Bar is the rat tail tang, IT BENDS !! Lots of Reviews, and they don’t lie. Fix , full tang, secure heavy duty butt/pummel to hammer down on in the field, Lanyard is a nice touch, nice bolt on hand grips in Leather, plastic, rubber and replaceable. The Single hand guard is better to get your thumb up on the spine for a better purchase on the knife, put some thumb knurling for no slip grip, the finger guard is better on the original USMC something like that so fingers dont slide off in case of a weak grip. KA Bar will not disappoint, the improvements will just be adding to the tradition and improvements of a great fighting utility knife.
Did anyone else find the quality control on her knife abismal ? The rat tail end should have the shank end flush with the pommel.....what I see is a hole......have never see that in a knife before....just a hole.

I'm pretty sure my ex who I am convinced is a heropin addict could perform better in front of a camera. God damn is the audio horrible and her interest in the product is terrible. I learned nothing.

D2 is a drawback yes it holds an edge for a long time but its not easy putting it back on that's why its not standard issue in the armed forces

The guard is too small. If actually used for fighting, the user would leave their own blood on the blade.
Erik Parker Not guaranteed. Yes a double sided guard is better but a one side guard is better than none. Just hold on tight and you'll be fine.
