If she did not carry an EpiPen she did not take any assumed allergies seriously. To go to a food event, especially in a large venue, one cannot guarantee staff, such as servers, can get your message to the head chef. So if someone has this level of food allergy. You have to make better decisions.
Bro we need to have accountability on our selves. If something is bad for you you should avoid it at all costs. Even if you don’t eat that item, that items might be around you
It cannot be the responsibility of food servers to properly manage your "life threatening" medical condition. You need to do that if it's that serious.
I say this from first hand experience: if you have a food allergy that can cause anaphylaxis, you should know better than to eat out. Or to not have an EpiPen on you if you take that risk. She is not responsible for people lying to her, but she’s still paying the price of someone’s mistake. So are her loved ones. It could’ve been prevented.
That's partly her fault for not having an EpiPen on herself if she knew she was so allergic to certain foods. She should've always had one nearby just in case.
So if she had used her epi-pen and still passed, THEN it would be the restaurant's fault??? No, per the law, if customers openly state they have certain food allergies, it is now the establishment's responsibility to ensure they can properly serve the customer food without the allergen. It's called Duty of Care.
She asked if it had peanuts in it and they said no, that it's safe for her to eat!! They refused to call an ambulance right away. They said to her she needed to take pictures first......that is not ok.
We want justice for a food allergy? Huh? Why didn’t you call 911? You rushed her to a hospital yet didn’t call 911? What about justice for poor decisions?
If u have food allergies then carry an Epipen. Im allergic to Mushrooms so I have to be careful especially with restaurants like Olive Garden & Red Lobster. When im at work I dont carry it with me but whenever I go out I have to cuz u never know. This gal was reckless to go out & NOT carry one & shouldve known better, it was her own undoing
It's not reasonable to expect a restaurant server to be responsible for Life/Death food allergy safeguard. They don't cook the food, they don't package/make the food. And of course they might make a mistake. I used to order very likited items and thoroughly inspect and sample my foods to avoid fish and or nuts. (B4 epi-pens). Sometimes we have to just wait and eat at home.
She was such an innocent soul on this planet. Part of this may have been her fault, but what if she couldn’t get her Epi pen? Rest in peace Dominique Brown. 🕊️
I’m very careful when it comes to my food allergy, if I don’t know what’s in it, I don’t bother to eat it. Have I always been successful, no. I’ve accidentally eaten my allergy. My recent contact caused me to have anaphylaxis and now I have to carry an epi pen. It’s always our responsibility to know what we eat. But I get it, mistakes happen, that’s why we have something just in case.
So an official cause of death hasn't been made and nobody can say what the actual allergen was. What a great report, just a bunch of speculation. Are you sure she didn't die from a heart attack while eating?
So in regards to the food, that they don’t mention here, is that she was told it would be peanut free. The company who hosted this was made aware of her allergy as well. So this is on box lunch, who were the hosts of the influencer event she attended. As for the EpiPen who knows about that. That I didn’t see info about on the other news video. As someone else said, though, maybe she’d had one on her and it fell somewhere. Maybe they didn’t do a thorough search through her things. Regardless, I am sorry for her family and friends loss.
To make restaurants carry epi pens, they better carry inhalers so I can breathe better at the establishment. Lactaid pills for me to eat their dairy products. Also antacid pills for me to enjoy spicy food. Its a terrible situation but people need to take accountability of their own issues and not force others to change to accommodate for them.
I can't help but notice the difference in response to this woman's death compared to the white dancer that also died from a peanut allergy earlier this year...and people will still say racial bias isn't real. RIP to her❤❤
With serious Allergies best to not partake in the food at such events. But an EpiPen should always be in your go to and while expensive so I have heard, I'd spend on that and eliminate less important things.
Didn't she carry some EpiPens with her? If people are yelling for anyone else having an EpiPen, what you're asking for is someone to give up their health, or even life, for someone else. If it was me with an EpiPen, and someone else at the event is having a food allergy, I probably wouldn't give mine up as I might be stricken with same allergy at any moment. Also, many with food allergies just don't trust food being made at a restaurant, or elsewhere. They make and bring their own food. Food gets cross contaminated all the time. If I had a peanut allergy, a food server or preparer might had handled peanuts before serving something to me that doesn't have peanuts. I would still be in trouble.
My mother was given and told to carry two epi pens for her allergies. It was a struggle for her to carry them around as they were heavy. Her insurance also didn't cover much of the cost so a pack of two was around $500. Ya'll are being crazy judgemental in the comments..."Don't go out to public places to eat if you have serious allergies." Really just want people to never leave their homes and try to have normal lives if they maybe can't have an epi pen on hand for whatever reason. God. Would it really be so difficult for a restaurant to have them on hand instead? Lots of places are required to have defibrillators and basic disability facilities. What is the harm in just adding an epipen to all that?
It’s her own fault and the fault of whoever raised her without ensuring she knew to always carry an epipen, and if the allergy didn’t have an immediate antidote to treat reactions, she should have had the brains to avoid the risk of ingesting this “life-threatening” allergen altogether.
The result is when you ask if what I'm allergic to is not in my food, the server tells you the right information. And if they didn't know , check to make sure. How hard is that to understand?? That's literally part of your job as a waiter.
If she did not carry an EpiPen she did not take any assumed allergies seriously.

by the looks of her, she didnt have any food allergy

@ food allergies don’t have looks. You never know.

Dont blame her.
yes it can. it was the waiters fault
@ Yep
I’m so sorry for her family. People loved her and now they don’t have her. My heart and sympathy go out to her family.

I was going to say the same thing

what? no its not her fault its the waiter

The logical “answer” doesn’t result in a large financial settlement.

what are you talking about?

Justice and answer was to be more responsible on eating...
More about being responsible on carrying what you may need
Y'all really are a Heartless Bunch.... God forbids this happens to a loved one of yours. Stay safe everyone.
She was such an innocent soul on this planet. Part of this may have been her fault, but what if she couldn’t get her Epi pen? Rest in peace Dominique Brown. 🕊️
Sheeeiiiit
unbelievable she didnt carry an epipen
what does a pen have to do with this?
The questions are being asked of her, not of the venue.
Doesn't appear to be able to stay away from any type of food.

I’ve never heard of a famous influencer dying like this . There’s something suspicious about this story , did someone purposely kill her ?
R.I.P.
I work in the restaurants. They need to tell us before they start ordering food and make a note of it to give it to the chef.that what we do anyways.

I wonder if she is a Disney + member?
Hahaha I see what you did there. I guess her family can’t sue😂
@@ericdraven4445she wasn’t a Disney + member.
why does it matter? that has nothing to do with this
@@ryanciani3324 cause last time this happened Disney sausage you can't sue cause there is a clause that says u can't when you sign up for Disney +
This is absolutely tragic but I encourage everyone to practice carrying what you may need.
carrying something has nothing to do with this
Damn if you're allergic to food why are you going to go to the event that you don't know what you're cooking it with?
So sad. Thoughts and prayers towards her friends and family🩵
Food industry workers trained in emergency medical care? Want me to work as a nurse, gonna have to pay me like one.

That’s kind of idealistic and unfair
My daughter carries her pen and unless a restaurant has a specific “Allergy Free” alternative menu, she won’t eat what she doesn’t prepare herself
😅I IF SOMEONE DIES AT DISNEYLAND THEY STILL REMIVE THEM AND PRONOUNCE THEM DEAD ON THE WAY TO HOSPITAL JUST TO AVOID HEADLINE “DEATH AT DISNEYLAND”😅
