      @@radiotvrepair1059 I haven't seen the schematics for an E4416A so this is just a complete guess - A number of more modern Agilent gear required the fan to run before the unit would become fully operational, you might want to try checking out the fan in the unit to see if it is getting power and if it actually works. If that isn't the issue then I would suggest posting to the HPAK group over on groups.io (groups.io/g/HP-Agilent-Keysight-equipment) and see if anyone there has some suggestions.

    Benefits:
    Backlit LCD display allowing observation of results in low light conditions.
    A graphic display that allows displaying any characters or graphics, allows you to create descriptions.
    Stable behavior of the last digit when displaying low power levels, a good way of averaging results.
    Works with both the 8480 series of old power sensors and the new E series sensors.
    High speed in automatic mode, the meter switches the measuring ranges very quickly, thanks to which you can work only in automatic mode.
    Disadvantages:
    Very low contrast LCD matrix, you can adjust it, but if you do not regulate it is still weak, but acceptable.
    The audible and constantly working fan, even after switching off, in a quiet room can be tiring during long-term measurements.
    The impact of the GSM telephone caller on the presented measurement result, on the original cable with about 0.5m on the non-original with 2m. This unfavorable feature means that you should leave the GSM telephone behind the measuring laboratory. If this is not possible and we have to be constantly on-line, the GSM telephone should be moved a few meters from the E4418B.
    A new, completely different philosophy of meter operation, somewhat devious but quite logical.

      @@tgsoapbox Thank you very much for the answer, I wonder if such correspondence with the use of Google translator is acceptable? Is it understandable enough and is my website readable understandable if there are big problems?
      Thank you again for your response.

    Beautiful day! My question would be like that, why does not come for me it RS232 menu? I would like to refresh it with cable like this the firmwaret. The serial does not appear in the starting test unfortunately port body. Thank you!

    • @tgsoapbox
      @tgsoapbox  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you have to turn RS-232 on in a menu - Did you do that? I've never used the serial port as I run GPIB for all my instruments.

      @@bisteycs It is in the System menu under Remote Interface. This is on pages 115 & 117 of the user manual. You can get the user manual from the Keysight website - Just search for E4419B on the home page and the manual will be in the documents tab.

      @tgsoapbox  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@teknoy5417 It's used the same way as if it was on the front - Those devices with the ports on the rear were typically used in automated test rigs where they were cabled up to the DUT - Just follow the same instruction in the manual as though they were on the front.
