It's the biggest waste of a historic moment since Sting. We all wanted him to have one last match. He was begged for it and to just throw it out there like that, rather than some real build. Such a shame. Awesome. But such a shame.

The greatest. The impact he had in the wrestling industry during the Monday night wars was incredible. His career was short cut by alot of years because of that neck injury and we only got to see him for 5 or 6 years as Stone Cold during when he was the biggest thing in the business and 2 decades later he still gets the biggest pops, his merchandise still flying out of stores.

After years of not watching wrestling anymore on this specific day, my little brother turn on the TV and told my father and I lets watch Wrestlemania 38 and we did. This day brought me back so much joy and I saw on how much I've missed out on WWE after many absent years. Ever since April of 2022 I've never missed out on Monday Night Raw, Tuesday nights NXT and Friday Night Smackdown along with NXT LVL Up. I've attended almost 10 wrestling shows so far and I'll be in Wisconsin next Friday for Smackdown. It's sad to say my father past away 3 months after Wrestlemania 38 and after all wrestling has helped me in many ways and I thank the WWE for it all. Stone Cold is forever a legend and Kevin Owen's is top 5 of my favorites of today's wrestling. God bless you all 💪🏻 ❤️ 💯

Agreed. As someone who watched Austin in his peak, this match felt a bit painful and bittersweet for me. However, it did showcase Austin rather well, especially all things considered. I'm certainly glad the younger WWE Universe got to see him perform. I only wish he could've pulled out a little more of what made him so great in years past. Still give him major props for this and the utmost respect for KO being able to guide the match and make it one for the fans' bucket lists. Just shows how well Austin understands the business and even moreso how epic KO is at giving the fans what they want, especially when he's the heel.

One great thing about this was that Owens lost to a guy in his late fifties who hadn’t wrestled in 20 years, but you dont think any less of him for it. The fact that Stone Cold never overstayed his welcome in the ring, working years until his body fell apart, it actually protected his mystique.
Also, wrestling a non-traditional match and that Stone Cold could take some serious bumps helped, too.

I was watchng the documenrary on A & E for this match. Austin had said that when he last wrestled in 2003, felt relief at first but that ultimately he retired earlier than he would have liked because physically he was not in a good place. For him to get this one last match and the sendoff he deserved 19 years later was incredibly special for both him and the fans. Regardless how much time had passed as long as hes physically ahle to walk to that ring as soon as that glass hits in any arena you will hear a roar of the crowd like no other. Thats how much impact he had, there will never be another quite like him.

this was a one time only match he did. He aint ever coming back to WWE. Especially since his good friend Vince McMahon no longer owns it

I paid a decent amount of money to watch this live and I am literally in this video. This clip doesn't do it justice. It was a sustained roar when his music hit. "Stone Cold is the greatest WWF super star of all time I've never been wrong." -Ric Flair

Doesn’t matter what you say about KO.. mans main evented back to back WMs on Night 1, Stunner vs Stunner WM38 and winning the tag championship with his best friend Sami WM39 💯🤷🏽‍♂️🔥

This is 2022…you can give me The Rock, you can give me The Undertaker, you can give me Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, John Cena, Kurt Angle and you can certainly give me any of the jabronis wrestling on the regular roster now….nobody even comes close to this type of energy when that glass shatters. And you get that every single time for 20 plus years. I mean just look at the heat KO is able to garner just by talking some smack to him. You almost never see heat like that…especially this day and age. It’s like a 50/50 split who likes who. There was not a soul in that building that wanted KO to win lol. This man is THE GOAT.
On a side note, KO was great in this confrontation.
